Recently, the first phase of the Shanghai Jinshan District Offshore Wind Farm Project (onshore part) was officially launched. The reporter learned that the project plans to be connected to the grid at full capacity before December 31, 2024, and is expected to have an average annual on-grid electricity of 1,075,524,000 kWh after completion, saving an average of 327,800 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 894,700 tons.

Located in the northern part of Hangzhou Bay in Jinshan District, the first phase of the Jinshan Offshore Wind Farm project was successfully bid by China Three Gorges Corporation, Shanghai Green Energy Co., Ltd. and CNOOC Rongfeng Energy Co., Ltd. in March 2022, and Three Gorges Jinyi Power Generation (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established for development. The project is an important part of Shanghai's offshore wind power planning, and it is also the largest offshore wind power project in the city.

The water depth of the project is 10.2-12 meters, and it is planned to install 36 wind turbines with a single capacity of 8.5MW, with a total installed capacity of 306MW, to build a 220KV offshore booster station and an onshore centralized control center, and to support offshore wind power, marine ranching, marine observation station network construction, traffic safety supervision platform, etc., with a total investment of about 3.127 billion yuan.

It is reported that as the first offshore wind power project developed by the Three Gorges Group in Shanghai, the project not only fills the gap of the large-scale clean energy infrastructure of the Three Gorges Group in Shanghai, but also further consolidates and enhances the leading and exemplary effect of Shanghai's offshore wind power industry as the first competitive allocation project below the benchmark coal price in China.
