882+398 Beijing announced the 2023 carbon emission units that will be included in the city's carbon emission trading management

According to the website of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics issued the Notice on Announcing the List of Carbon Emission Units Included in the Beijing Carbon Emission Trading Management in 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice").

The "Notice" clarifies that there are 882 key carbon emission units and 398 general reporting units in 2023 that will be included in the management of Beijing's carbon emission trading.

In accordance with the relevant regulations of Beijing, legal entities with an annual comprehensive energy consumption of more than 2,000 tons of standard coal (inclusive) within the administrative area of Beijing are included in the carbon emission trading management as carbon emission units。 Among them, legal entities with annual carbon dioxide emissions of more than 5,000 tons (inclusive) are key carbon emission units, and those that are not listed as key carbon emission units are general reporting units.
