On January 11, at the project site of Goldwind Baotou Fan Assembly Plant in Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone, part of the production equipment has been installed, and production can be started in March this year.

Goldwind's Baotou Wind Turbine Assembly Plant Project is a newly introduced project in the Rare Earth High-tech Zone at the beginning of 2023, which mainly produces large components such as nacelles, impeller units, blades, and transmission systems for wind turbines above 5H models, which is a terminal project of the wind power industry chain and a project to fill the gap in the wind power industry chain of the rare earth high-tech Zone.

Coincidentally, the expansion project of rare earth permanent magnet wind turbine of Baotou CRRC Motor has entered the trial production stage, and after the project reaches production, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 300 high-power direct-drive generators and 400 high-power semi-direct-drive generators. It is estimated that the annual output value will reach 800 million yuan and the tax revenue will be 10 million yuan, which will effectively drive the rapid development of rare earth, steel, copper, casting, machining and other industries in the region.

Gathering and going green, the rare earth high-tech zone seizes the opportunity of new energy development, adheres to the "double carbon" goal to force industrial transformation, drives the transformation of economic structure with energy structure adjustment, expands new scenarios, improves new space, and promotes the speed, expansion and chain of new energy industry, and has now formed a comprehensive development trend of wind power equipment manufacturing and photovoltaic material manufacturing.

"With CRRC Motor, Tianshun Wind Energy, Jinhai New Energy, Taisheng Wind Energy and other backbone enterprises as the core, the development of wind power host and supporting products, motors, high and low voltage complete sets of electrical appliances based on the wind power equipment manufacturing industry, is trying to open up the two-way conversion channel between 'lucid waters and green mountains' and 'Jinshan Yinshan'. With the advancement of the "double carbon" work, the development of new energy has become the main battlefield of the new round of energy revolution, and it has also become the best opportunity for the whole chain layout of the new energy industry and the development of industrial clusters in the rare earth high-tech zone.

Chasing the wind and the sun, the scenery is infinite. In 2023, through the formulation of the "Work Plan for Building a High-tech Zone in the World Green Silicon Capital", the Rare Earth High-tech Zone will improve the "investment list" and "investment map" of the photovoltaic industry. Promote the implementation of 8 photovoltaic industry projects, mainly involving large-size monocrystalline silicon, crucibles, frames and other industrial projects. Focus on accelerating the implementation of Shuangliang's 50GW large-size monocrystalline silicon crystal pulling project, which will become a strong support for the high-quality development of rare earth high-tech zones after the completion of the project. At present, the Shuangliang 20GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module project has completed the preliminary procedures and is under construction. At the same time, the first phase of 5GW of modules has been put into production.

In order to further exert the siphon effect of Shuangliang, the rare earth high-tech zone relies on the Shuangliang new energy photovoltaic industrial park to further cultivate and develop solar cells and solar cell modules, and gradually develop and expand the photovoltaic industry.

The speed of the landing of large projects is inseparable from the temperature of the fine service of "embroidery needle".

The rare earth high-tech zone unswervingly promotes the "packaging material package", highlights the difficulties in solving the blockage, takes finding orders for enterprises and expanding the market as a top priority to promote the development of the crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry, promotes excellent products in accordance with market rules, and attracts new projects in downstream supporting industries with orders, markets and advanced technologies to create new growth points. Promote the deep integration of the innovation chain and the industrial chain, strengthen the core support of science and technology, accelerate the implementation of 22 R&D projects of the Shuangliang New Energy Industrial Technology Research Institute, continuously explore new technologies and new routes, and realize the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements as soon as possible.

Promote energy transition and empower green development. Rare earth high-tech zone is actively practicing the road of green development, constantly consolidating the green foundation, developing green industries, releasing green kinetic energy, a number of new energy projects are advancing in parallel, the whole industrial chain pattern of new energy equipment manufacturing is accelerating, and has been approved as the second batch of national cleaner production audit innovation pilots.

In the next step, the Rare Earth High-tech Zone is committed to promoting the construction of the "World Green Silicon Capital" monocrystalline silicon production capacity to reach 90GW, doubling the output value of the crystalline silicon industry, accelerating the extension and expansion to the downstream photovoltaic industry, starting the construction of the Sunrise photovoltaic solar cell module integration project, accelerating the completion and commissioning of the Shuangliang 15GW module project, and striving to reach 10GW of cell production capacity and 25GW of module production capacity in 2024.
