Shanxi promotes the high-quality development of the prefabricated building industry chain

In order to implement the decision-making and deployment of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government on the "chain length system" of key industrial chains, and promote the high-quality development of the prefabricated building industry chain in Shanxi Province, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development recently issued the "Shanxi Provincial Prefabricated Building Industry Chain 2024 Action Plan", clarifying 10 key tasks this year, and proposing to strive for 27% of the newly started prefabricated buildings in the province in 2024.

Prefabricated building refers to the transfer of a large number of on-site work in the traditional construction method to the factory, processing and making building components and accessories (such as floors, wall panels, stairs, balconies, etc.) in the factory, transporting them to the construction site, and assembling and installing them on site through reliable connections. Compared with the traditional cast-in-place method, the use of prefabricated buildings can save 60% of wood, 55% of cement mortar, 25% of water consumption, and about 13 kg of carbon emissions per square meter. It can be seen that the development of prefabricated buildings is conducive to reducing environmental pollution, saving resources and energy, and improving the equipment level of the industry, which is the only way for the green development of the construction industry and an important part of achieving the "double carbon" goal.

Since 2017, the construction industry in Shanxi Province has fully implemented the "Implementation Opinions on Vigorously Developing Prefabricated Buildings" issued by the General Office of the Provincial Government, and has cultivated 25 provincial-level industrial bases, of which 4 have been rated as national-level industrial bases. By the end of 2023, a total of about 37.73 million square meters of prefabricated buildings will be built in the province.

This year is a crucial year for the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan. The development of the prefabricated building industry chain in Shanxi Province will continue to implement the action of "building the chain, extending the chain, supplementing the chain, and strengthening the chain", focusing on the development of the industrial chain research, promoting the coordinated development of the whole industrial chain, fully promoting the work of investment promotion, strengthening technological innovation, strengthening talent training, promoting the implementation of prefabricated building projects, establishing and improving the working mechanism of the industrial chain, strengthening policy support, strengthening publicity and guidance, Strengthen 10 key tasks such as supervision and assessment, and strive to achieve 27% of the province's newly started prefabricated buildings in urban construction area in 2024, and achieve a total industrial output value of more than 4 billion yuan and an operating income of more than 3.5 billion yuan.
