On August 25, the first batch of "carbon neutrality" demonstration stores in Beijing was officially launched in Tongzhou Wanda Plaza, hosted by the Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center, with the theme of "I am low-carbon, I demonstrate", aiming to create a "carbon neutrality demonstration store" to publicize and establish a benchmark demonstration of carbon neutrality for the public, and promote the city's carbon neutrality work from point to point, and actively and steadily promote the city's commercial and related fields "carbon neutrality" work.
Leaders of Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center, Tongzhou District Development and Reform Commission, Beijing Green Exchange and other units and representatives of relevant founding units attended the event. The Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center chose to create an offline commercial gathering place directly facing citizens and consumers, and through digital means such as carbon inclusive mini programs and green carbon credits, it aims to guide consumers to experience the difference of "green stores, green people, and green goods" when they walk into carbon neutral stores, and obtain tangible benefits through green consumption and low-carbon life. Through the event, it will also promote consumers and commercial enterprises to form a carbon inclusive mechanism to "go both ways" and promote win-win results.
