On October 30, the first round of industrial test of coupled biomass pulverized coal gasification (biomass blending gasification) of Zhong'an United Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. was successfully completed, which will help reduce fossil energy consumption and carbon emissions.
According to reports, the test belongs to the Sinopec technology development commissioned project, by the Sino-Security joint responsible for the industrial test of the key technology of biomass powder and pulverized coal with forest trees, straw and other agricultural and forestry wastes as the main components. In order to obtain test data with high standards and promote the utilization of biomass resources as a whole, Zhong'an jointly invited experts and scholars from Sinopec Chemical Division, Great Wall Energy and Chemical Company, Ningbo Institute of Technology, East China University of Science and Technology and other units to participate in the demonstration and optimization of the biomass test burning scheme, jointly study and formulate the biomass blending industrial test plan, and complete the calibration of the 10% biomass blended coal pulverized coal line in mid-August, laying the foundation for the test work.
This round of industrial test lasted for 11 days, and the demonstration operation of the coupled biomass gasification industry was carried out by using the SE Dongfang furnace of the Zhong'an United Coal Gasification Unit. The test work was carried out in an orderly manner according to the three stages of biomass blending ratio of 5%, 10% and 15%, with a total of 1915 tons of biomass blended. The test results show that the transportation, slag hanging, process operation, gasification and slag type of SE Dongfang furnace are normal, and the residual carbon content in the coarse slag and filter cake and the effective gas content of crude syngas are within the index range.
During the test, China and Anhui jointly set up a test burning working group to pay attention to the whole process of biomass blending and gasification. In view of the characteristics of low calorific value, high volatile matter and low grindability of biomass, the test firing team strengthened sampling and analysis, continuously optimized the process, adjusted the fuel gas ratio, and increased the frequency of adjusting the oxygen-coal ratio to ensure the smooth progress of the test firing work.
