Beijing is one of the few capitals with geothermal resources, with abundant reserves of new energy heating resources. According to statistics, by the end of 2022, the city's new energy heating area has reached 106 million square meters, which can replace about 800 million cubic meters of gas every year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.7 million tons. The implementation opinions clearly put forward that the city encourages the use of shallow ground source heat pumps, reclaimed water (sewage) source heat pumps, medium and deep geothermal, biomass heating, urban and industrial waste heat utilization and other new energy heating technologies, and supports the application of various new energy heating technologies in public buildings, residential buildings, industrial parks, agriculture and rural areas. At the same time, we will encourage the expansion of the application of new energy heating technologies in new infrastructure and new infrastructure scenarios, and support the pilot application of new technologies such as carbon dioxide ice making and hydrogen energy cogeneration.
The reporter noted that the implementation opinions also clarified the appropriate forms of new energy heating technology for different building types in public buildings, residential buildings, industrial parks, and rural areas. Invest in and support technological innovation in new energy heating projects

The implementation opinions encourage the in-depth integration of industry, university and research, support the construction of an innovation consortium led by enterprises, supported by universities and scientific research institutes, and coordinated by various innovation subjects, and jointly carry out research and development of key equipment;
"In accordance with the installed capacity of new energy heating, the application of new energy heating technologies, the construction of multi-energy coupled integrated energy stations and other different forms, the qualified new energy heating projects will be given certain fixed asset investment support of the municipal government, so as to further reduce the investment cost of enterprises and meet the new requirements of large-scale development and high-quality application of new energy heating. For new energy heating projects supported by the municipal government's fixed asset investment, Beijing will encourage professional institutions with corresponding credit to manage the whole process of project construction, and improve the technical standards and safety standards in the city's new energy heating related fields such as geothermal energy, reclaimed water (sewage) resources, biomass energy, air energy and new comprehensive energy infrastructure.
Strive to account for 10% of the new energy heating area by 2025
