Tarim Oilfield was rated as a "leader" enterprise in China's industrial carbon peak
The China Federation of Industrial Economics recently released a list of 63 "leader" enterprises in China's industrial carbon peak at the 2nd China Industrial Carbon Peak Forum, and the Tarim Oilfield Branch of PetroChina Co., Ltd. was successfully selected for its practice and contribution to green and low-carbon transformation and new energy development.
In recent years, Tarim Oilfield has focused on the "double carbon" goal, in accordance with PetroChina's development strategy of "clean substitution, strategic succession, and green transformation", adhered to the coordinated development of oil and gas and new energy business, focused on energy conservation, consumption reduction, carbon reduction and green expansion, and the construction of "Shagehuang" new energy base on the other, so as to achieve "dual control and double reduction" of energy consumption and carbon emissions, and make a breakthrough in the installed capacity of new energy from zero to one million kilowatts, and embarked on a high-quality development path with green and low-carbon as the distinctive background.
In terms of energy saving, consumption reduction, carbon reduction and green expansion, Tarim Oilfield has integrated the concept of green development into the whole process of oil and gas production, conducted special research and deployed green enterprise creation and promotion actions, promoted low-carbon production and energy consumption, and benefited emission reduction measures, so as to continuously move towards a higher level of green and low-carbon transformation and development. In 2023, a total of 66 clean energy substitution projects such as photovoltaic solar thermal and residual pressure and waste heat will be implemented in the Tarim Oilfield, with an additional installed capacity of 48.6 MW. Among them, two cases, such as "equipment energy-saving technology and process reengineering", were selected as "2023 Excellent Practice Cases of Enterprise Green and Low-carbon Development", and two technologies, including "All-weather Solar Thermal Energy Storage Vacuum Heating", were selected into the "2023 List of Major Low-carbon Technologies in Key Industrial Areas of Xinjiang".
It is reported that the Tarim Oilfield has built three low-carbon and energy-saving demonstration zones in Lunnan, Yingmai and Dina. Dina Demonstration Zone was rated as "Excellent Project for the Development and Utilization of New Energy of PetroChina". The first station of the West-East Gas Transmission Project and 10 well sites including Yueman 23-H2 have been built into the first batch of carbon-neutral stations and well sites of PetroChina.
In terms of the construction of the "Shagehuang" new energy base, we will deepen the photovoltaic and other characteristic resources in the Tarim Basin according to local conditions, continue to strengthen the transformation and upgrading of the energy production and supply structure, and expand the scale of clean energy supply to the outside world. In 2023, Tarim Oilfield will successively build photovoltaic power generation projects with a total installed capacity of 1.3 million kilowatts in Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture and Kashgar Prefecture.
In 2023, the Tarim Oilfield will produce a total of 264 million kWh of green electricity, which not only reduces production and operating costs, energy consumption and carbon emissions, but also injects strong "green energy" into the transformation and upgrading of local energy structure, industrial structure and economic structure, and promoting high-quality economic and social development.
