On the eve of the year, as one of the key parallel forums, the 2023 World 5G Conference - 5G and Green Environmental Protection Forum was successfully held.



With the theme of "5G Empowering Environmental Protection and Protecting Green Mountains and Clear Waters", the 2023 World 5G Conference - 5G and Green Environmental Protection Forum invited authoritative experts and scholars in the industry to conduct in-depth exchanges on topics such as 5G helping ecological and environmental protection, 5G efficiency and ecological environment governance, promoting future environmental protection construction and related functions.

Li Weiqun, chief engineer of the Henan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, delivered a speech for the forum, saying that in recent years, Henan has relied on a new generation of information technology such as big data, cloud computing, and 5G Internet of Things, focusing on the construction of eight systems, and promoting business data, data value, and platform intelligence in the field of ecological environment. Hao Jiming, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, introduced the progress of big data in helping air pollution control, and achieved seven major achievements: collecting scientific data of atmospheric environment, constructing a scientific closed research system, establishing a three-dimensional observation system from conventional ground observation to space, ground and air, constructing a high spatiotemporal resolution emission inventory, establishing a rapid response relationship between emission air quality, establishing a rapid response relationship between emission air quality, improving the prediction performance of air quality data models, and understanding the causes and sources of regional heavy air pollution in autumn and winter.
