Liu Zhenfei, President of AutoNavi Map, was invited to attend the plenary meeting of the "Belt and Road" International Think Tank Cooperation Committee in Beijing on the afternoon of October 17, and spoke at the forum "Health, Green, Digital, Innovation: The New Space of the 'Belt and Road'", introducing some of the achievements of AutoNavi in recent years in helping the construction of the "Belt and Road" with digital capabilities, including helping the Beidou satellite navigation system for civil use, releasing the Amap World Map, and deeply participating in the Beijing MaaS green travel integrated service platform.

"Our job is to make a 'living map' to make users' travel and life better, and help the upgrading of the national physical transportation industry." Liu Zhenfei introduced that AutoNavi has focused on travel and information services for more than 20 years, accumulated a lot of technology and experience, and applied it to the practical work of helping the construction of the "Belt and Road".

The first is the application exploration of the Beidou satellite navigation system. The Beidou satellite navigation system, which has completely independent intellectual property rights, has reached the world-class technical level and has gradually entered the stage of widespread deployment. Under the guidance of the China Satellite Navigation System Management Office, AutoNavi has successively launched a series of innovative services such as lane-level navigation, traffic light countdown, and blind spot meeting warning in recent years, which have been well received by users.

During the just-concluded National Day Golden Week, the peak number of daily positioning calls to the navigation system exceeded 450 billion times. While creating a record high, it once again boosts this "heavy weapon of the country" and benefits in the field of civil mobility.

In addition, in September this year, based on the global empowerment of the Beidou system, AutoNavi launched the world map service, committed to helping "Chinese, travel the world", which can currently support route planning and navigation services in more than 200 countries and regions around the world, and users can also light up countries and cities with footprints on the map; On the other hand, AutoNavi World Map will also help Chinese industries go global, assist more Chinese enterprises to go abroad, realize the global development of business, and build a "digital Belt and Road" on the map.

Finally, green travel, in promoting the concept of users from "owning a vehicle" to "owning a traffic service", AutoNavi has been at the forefront of the world.

As early as 2020, Beijing MaaS, a green travel integrated service platform jointly built by the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, and AutoNavi Map, pioneered a model that encourages users to travel green with carbon inclusion, and the more users use Amap, the more green travel behaviors such as buses, subways, bicycles, and walking, the more corresponding carbon energy can be harvested, which can be exchanged for affordable incentives or public welfare rights, and support the national carbon emission reduction strategy. In addition, in the green travel carbon inclusive model, AutoNavi also reached the world's first green travel carbon transaction in 2021.

Up to now, the number of users participating in carbon inclusion on the Beijing MaaS platform has exceeded 3 million, and the cumulative carbon reduction of green travel has exceeded 400,000 tons. The carbon trading volume through the carbon market reached 120,000 tons, and all the trading proceeds were returned to users participating in green travel in the form of equity.

"On the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, 10 years of perseverance, I sincerely wish this great initiative greater achievements." Liu Zhenfei said that in the future, AutoNavi will continue to adhere to scientific and technological innovation as the foundation and help the construction of the "Belt and Road" with digital capabilities.
