Recently, the "Yanchang brand" ultra-pure helium developed and produced by Yanchang Petroleum Co., Ltd. was successfully sold through the first online auction on the cloud business platform, creating a precedent for domestic liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants to extract helium at one time to meet the standard of 6N ultra-pure helium products.

In 2023, the company will take helium recovery and product quality optimization and upgrading as key technical research projects, formulate specific technical research plans, and scientifically organize and implement "soft and hard". In terms of "software", on the premise of ensuring the stability and high quality of the crude helium system, the adsorption efficiency of the purification process is fully guaranteed by increasing the regeneration frequency of the purification system. At the same time, organize and arrange technical strong troops to operate the adjustment device to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the device; in terms of "hardware", through rectification and repair of pipelines and equipment cold insulation, improve the effect of low temperature cold insulation, and ensure that the device operates within the designed low temperature working conditions. After tackling key problems, the natural gas company has sent to the East China National Metrology and Testing Center for inspection and analysis for 5 times, and the quality of helium products meets the requirements of GB 4844-2011 ultra-pure helium, and the quality of helium products has made key breakthroughs, and landmark achievements have been achieved in technical research.

It is understood that the helium recovery project is a project of great concern to Shaanxi Province and Yanchang Petroleum Group, and it is also a key core technology project for the natural gas company to develop the added value of natural gas products and break through the "stuck neck". The successful optimization and upgrading of Yanchang helium products is not only a new breakthrough in the research and development of key core technologies, but also a new starting point for the whole helium industry chain, the company will continue to stimulate the potential of products around helium resources, carry out liquid helium and helium-3 research and research, and expand the helium industry.
