China attaches great importance to addressing climate change. In recent years, China has implemented a national strategy to actively respond to climate change, promoted the adjustment of industrial and energy structure, and adopted a series of measures such as energy conservation, energy efficiency, establishment and improvement of carbon market, increase forest carbon sinks, and improve adaptive capacity. With the theme of "Green and Low-Carbon Beautiful China", this year's "National Low Carbon Day" aims to call on the whole society to form a simple, moderate, civilized and healthy lifestyle and consumption pattern, actively respond to climate change, jointly promote green and low-carbon development, and build a beautiful China.
Since the establishment of the "National Low Carbon Day" in 2012, various activities have been held across the country to promote green and low-carbon concepts and encourage green and low-carbon actions. The organizers of the event proposed that all parties actively participate in the work of addressing climate change, starting from daily life, starting from little by little, saving resources, reducing energy consumption, reducing carbon emissions, and contributing to the construction of a green and low-carbon beautiful China.
During the event, representatives of relevant scientific research institutions, enterprises and individuals shared their green and low-carbon practices and insights, and launched a series of publicity activities to address climate change.
