China's first hydrogen carbon emission reduction trading project landed in Beijing

  Beijing, 3 Aug (Reporter Zhang Jinghua)The "Carbon Benefiting Hydrogen Energy-Beijing Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Carbon Emission Reduction Project Launch Conference" was held in Beijing Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone on the 3rd.

  In April this year, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment officially released the Beijing Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Carbon Emission Reduction Methodology, which was jointly drafted by the Beijing Municipal Climate Change Management Affairs Center and the Beijing Communications Development Research Institute, which is the first carbon market methodology for the hydrogen energy field in China. In July, as the first hydrogen energy carbon emission reduction project in China that can enter the carbon market trading, the Beijing hydrogen fuel cell vehicle carbon emission reduction project was successfully approved. As the main body of the project, Zhonghe Emerging Energy Research Institute cooperates with 16 hydrogen energy enterprises to complete project development by relying on the big data and carbon monitoring and measurement technology of the whole chain of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei hydrogen energy industry, and the project will complete carbon accounting and carbon trading through "carbon inclusiveness". According to the current promotion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, the project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 24,000 tons per year in Beijing, which is a typical case of carbon emission reduction in the transportation sector, and a powerful practice for the hydrogen energy industry to help achieve the "dual carbon" goal.

The landing of the hydrogen energy carbon emission reduction project in Daxing District provides an effective path for the carbon value of the hydrogen energy industry, further promotes carbon emission reduction trading in the field of hydrogen energy, and truly realizes the two-way empowerment of hydrogen and carbon.

  With the continuous development of the hydrogen energy industry, the listing and trading of hydrogen energy carbon emission reduction projects will also be widely carried out, and through carbon emission reduction trading, it will continue to play the market-oriented role of industrial aggregation, make more contributions to pollution reduction and carbon reduction in transportation, and promote the green coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
