On January 14, the 2nd China Industrial Carbon Peak Forum hosted by the China Federation of Industrial Economics was held in Hefei, Anhui Province, and Delta stood out from more than 200 participating companies and was awarded the title of "Leader" of China's Industrial Carbon Peak. From 2011 to 2022, Delta has implemented a total of 2,826 energy-saving solutions, reducing its greenhouse gas Scope 1+2 carbon emissions by 13.5% compared with 2021, using 63% of renewable electricity at its global sites and over 90% at its mainland sites. At the same time, Mr. Zheng Ping, CEO of Delta, was invited to deliver a keynote speech on the topic of "Energy-Saving Technology Promotes Green and High-Quality Development", sharing Delta's experience and achievements in practicing digital, intelligent, and low-carbon development. Li Yizhong, President of China Federation of Industrial Economics, Zhang Hongwen, Member of the Standing Committee of Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor of Anhui Provincial Government, Ma Jiantang, Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Huang Libin, Director of the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and other leaders attended the forum.

Zhang Hongwen, vice governor of Anhui Province, said that in combination with the actual development of Anhui, Anhui Province has systematically formulated and implemented a package of policy measures such as the implementation opinions of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" and the implementation plan of industrial carbon peaking, accelerated the promotion of new industrialization, built a strong province of intelligent and green manufacturing, improved the inclusiveness of industrial development to the ecological environment, smoothed the transformation path from ecological high value to high economic value, and comprehensively promoted the green development of industry.
Li Yizhong, President of the China Federation of Industrial Economics, said that since 2022, the China Federation of Industrial Economics has carried out research on China's industrial carbon peak "leader" enterprises from three dimensions: collecting examples, investigation and research, and publicity and cultivation, aiming to select outstanding enterprises with leading role and advanced technologies with promotion value, provide practical reference and implementation path for the industrial field to achieve the "double carbon" goal, and help local and industry enterprises to promote industrial transformation and upgrading and high-quality development in a steady and orderly manner.
Mr. Zheng Ping, CEO of Delta, said that Delta actively responds to the national "dual carbon" goal, takes power electronics as its core technology, and focuses on the five strategic development directions of electric vehicles, industrial automation, building automation, information and communication, and energy infrastructure. Adhering to the business mission of "environmental protection, energy conservation, and love for the earth", Delta took the lead in making corporate self-carbon reduction commitments as early as 2015, officially adopted the Science Based Carbon Reduction Target (SBT) in 2017, and joined the international renewable energy initiative RE100 in 2021, pledging to achieve 100% renewable electricity and carbon neutrality in its global network by 2030. At the same time, in line with the 1.5°C emission reduction pathway of global temperature increase, Delta has set a long-term strategy and goal to achieve Net Zero emissions at its global sites by 2050, becoming the first company in Asia's high-tech hardware industry and the 125th company in the world to pass the SBTi Net-Zero Science Reduction Target review. Through the implementation of various energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures and the acquisition of renewable electricity, Delta's carbon emissions have been declining year by year since 2018 since 2017, and revenue growth has been decoupled from carbon emissions. Through its internal carbon pricing system, Delta is promoting a carbon reduction strategy to move towards net zero, including promoting energy-saving solutions, introducing renewable electricity, promoting green buildings, and investing in low-carbon innovations.
Mr. Zheng Ping, CEO of Delta, shared Delta's experience and achievements in digital, intelligent, and low-carbon development at the China Industrial Carbon Peak Forum
Since 2009, Delta has been actively promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction at its production sites, reducing electricity consumption per unit of output value in the plant by 90% in five years. In 2022, Delta's plants in mainland China have implemented 179 energy-saving and carbon-reduction solutions, built 15.58 million kWh of self-built solar photovoltaic power generation, and purchased 81.33 million kWh of green electricity, reducing the overall carbon intensity by 36% compared with 2021. In September 2023, Delta's Wujiang Plant 5 was awarded a five-star zero-carbon factory, the first zero-carbon factory in the electronics manufacturing industry in Jiangsu Province to receive this honor by leveraging Delta's own energy and carbon management platform and energy-efficient industrial control products, combined with the factory's self-built photovoltaic and green power purchases to achieve 100% renewable electricity and 100% carbon offset. This is a successful practice in Delta's journey towards its net-zero goal. In terms of the construction of low-carbon green data centers, Delta's Taipei data center has been awarded the world's first LEED V4 ID+C platinum certification, with a PUE value of only 1.29 in 2022.
While promoting its own energy conservation and carbon reduction, Delta actively cooperates with the value chain to promote carbon reduction. Under the long-term goal of achieving net-zero science-based carbon reduction by 2050, Delta has also set a short-term goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030 compared with the base year of 2021.
Ms. Wu Meihui, Chairman of Delta China's Sustainable Development Committee, received the "Top Runner" award from China's industrial carbon peak
Since 2022, the China Federation of Industrial Economics, together with experts from relevant ministries and commissions, local governments and industry think tanks, has carried out the selection and research of China's industrial carbon peak "leader" enterprises from the three dimensions of selection and demonstration, investigation and research, and publicity and cultivation, to find out and publicize and promote the excellent achievements and cases of enterprises, and help the industrial field to better carry out carbon peak and high-quality development. The China Federation of Industrial Economics released a list of 63 "leader" enterprises in China's industrial carbon peak in 2023 at the 2nd China Industrial Carbon Peak Forum. Externally, these enterprises can play a role as a "non-governmental force" in the fields of responding to EU carbon tariffs, international publicity, and international cooperation on climate, and internally they can rely on their advanced technology and typical experience to provide practical reference and implementation paths for the industry to achieve the "dual carbon" goal.
Delta's recognition of being the "Leader" of China's industrial carbon peak is a high recognition of its exemplary and leading role in green development
