On May 24, the 16th International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Conference and Exhibition (SNEC) officially opened in Shanghai. SNEC is the largest exhibition in the photovoltaic industry, with an exhibition area of 270,000 square meters, attracting more than 500,000 registered people and more than 3,100 exhibitors.
The SNEC exhibition was suspended for a year last year due to the pandemic. After two years, practitioners in the photovoltaic industry gathered again, and the enthusiasm of all parties was fully stimulated.
On the first day of the exhibition, many industry leaders appeared on the scene with new products, among which N-type products became the protagonists with the highest frequency.
In the past two years, as the conversion efficiency of mainstream P-type cells is difficult to increase effectively, the N-type technology route has come to the fore and become the new favorite of the photovoltaic industry. N-type technology routes can be subdivided into heterojunction (HJT), TOPCon, IBC, etc., and the most discussed technologies in the industry are TOPCon and heterojunction technologies.
LONGi Green Energy (601012.SH) launched the N-type silicon heterojunction concept product 2681 at the exhibition site, which is based on the advanced technology of LONGi Green Energy's 26.81% crystalline silicon cell efficiency record achieved in November 2022. The weight of this product is 31.8kg, the product size is 2278mm×1134mm, and its silicon heterojunction conversion rate breaks the world record of 26.81%.
Tongwei Co., Ltd. (600438.SH) released two N-type modules, namely TWMNG-72HD and TWMHF-66HD. These two products represent the latest technology transformation achievements of Tongwei in TOPCon and HJT.
Compared with the mainstream 182*182mm size, the module power of this product is increased by 25W-30W, and the power of a single module exceeds 600W. The latter uses THC technology and is the first product in the industry to adopt a number of advanced technologies such as silver-free, ultra-thin silicon wafers, and double-sided microcrystalline.
JA Solar (002459.SZ) unveiled its new N-type module product, DeepBlue 4.0 Pro, at this year's SNEC.
This product uses JA Solar's self-developed N-type rectangular silicon wafers with high life and low oxygen content and next-generation size, which has made breakthroughs in module power and efficiency, power generation capacity and reliability.
In terms of wafer size, DeepBlue 4.0 Pro adopts a rectangular silicon wafer size of 182mm*199mm, which is more inclusive in the industry chain and industry, which can meet the production of mainstream version modules in four lengths, including 1762mm, 2333mm, 2384mm and 2465mm, and adapt to the needs of various application scenarios.
Trina Solar (688599.SH) launched the new generation of 210 Extreme N-type 695W, 605W and 450W family products, and unveiled the new generation of N-type i-TOPCon advanced technology at the exhibition site.
Among them, the Extreme N-type family series products are based on the new generation of N-type i-TOPCon advanced technology, which is suitable for residential, industrial and commercial and ground power stations, and has the advantages of low LCOE, low voltage and high power.
Aiko Co., Ltd. (600732.SH) released a new generation of N-type ABC double-glass high-efficiency modules of the "White Hole" series, with two product specifications of 72 and 54 versions respectively.
The 72 version of the double glass module has a maximum power of 615W and a maximum conversion efficiency of 23.8%, and the 54 version of the double glass module has a maximum power of 460W and a maximum conversion efficiency of 23.6%.
ABC double-glass modules use double-glass packaging technology, which has better barrier, moisture resistance and flame retardancy, and can be applied to various scenarios such as rooftop distributed power stations, ground power stations, and industrial and commercial applications that require higher reliability of modules and certain requirements for the fire performance of modules. In addition, Aiko's ABC bifacial double-glass module suitable for ground power station scenarios will also be officially released.
On May 24, the photovoltaic sector as a whole was red. Aiko shares hit the intraday limit, closing up 8.76% at 36.01 yuan / share, Trina Solar, Deye shares (605117. SH), Gaotei Co., Ltd. (688556. SH) and other stocks rose more than 5%. JA Solar Technology rose 4.8% to close at 40.6 yuan per share, while LONGi Green Energy and Tongwei shares rose slightly.
