The ecological environment is constantly improving

The record of this globally vulnerable species in Xuanmen Bay in Yuhuan is the northernmost record of its latitude, and it is also behind the remarkable results of the continuous improvement of the local ecological environment.
In recent years, with the improvement of water environment quality as the core, Taizhou has carried out the "Qingsan River" remediation, eradicated inferior V. actions, implemented the construction of "zero direct sewage discharge area", promoted the construction of "beautiful rivers and lakes", restored the ecological buffer zone of rivers and lakes, strengthened the standardization of drinking water sources, and was selected as a national pilot city for regional reclaimed water recycling.

After several years of efforts, the emissions of major air pollutants such as sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) have decreased year by year, and the urban air quality has improved year by year.
Not only that, Taizhou also took the lead in the province to introduce and implement the "three lines and one order" ecological environment zoning control plan to promote the digital application of "three lines and one order"; The province took the lead in carrying out the pilot reform of "one-permit management" of pollutant discharge permits, and implemented environmental impact assessment and slimming management; The country's first "Internet of Things + blockchain" model solves the problem of hazardous waste, ship wastewater and medical waste collection and disposal of small and micro enterprises.
Coordinated efforts to reduce pollution and carbon emissions
Recently, the Taizhou Bay Green Energy Gas Island Project officially started. The project uses municipal, agricultural and forestry waste as raw materials and biomass chemical technology to produce green hydrogen with net zero emissions that meets the requirements of international carbon certification, green methanol that meets the requirements of the International Maritime Organization for sustainable alternative fuels, and key products such as medical oxygen, and will be extended to higher-end energy products such as aviation fuel in the future.
In the context of the national "double carbon" goal, the coordinated promotion of pollution reduction and carbon reduction has become a necessary way for the city to promote carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the economy and society.
In fact, as early as three years ago, Taizhou has proposed to take the lead in carbon peak and carbon neutrality with high standards, and vigorously promote the comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of economic and social development. Last year, Taizhou was successfully selected as the fourth batch of collaborative pilot projects for pollution reduction and carbon reduction in Zhejiang Province.
Carbon pollution emissions are highly concentrated in pharmaceutical enterprises. As the first batch of pilot projects for pollution reduction and carbon reduction by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Taizhou Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone has taken the lead in exploring institutional innovation, waste gas adsorption and recycling, and wastewater quality classification and reuse, and has successively planned and implemented 23 key projects for synergy in pollution reduction and carbon reduction, with a cumulative investment of 3.71 billion yuan to achieve carbon reduction of about 273,000 tons, effectively building a whole-process, all-round and full-chain collaborative path for pollution reduction and carbon reduction in the medical and chemical industry.
At present, more than 100 enterprises have settled in the medical and chemical park of Taizhou Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone, including 58 medical and chemical enterprises. To this end, Taizhou has set up a pollution reduction and carbon reduction expert think tank led by the team of Gao Xiang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to assist enterprises in preparing implementation plans for pollution reduction and carbon reduction, summarize experience for benchmarking enterprises, promote the promotion and replication of typical practices, and have cultivated 6 benchmark projects for pollution reduction and carbon reduction in the province.
Different from the medical and chemical parks, in Dachen Island in Jiaojiang, the whole people are evolving to a low-carbon life. The fuel vehicles on the island have been completely eliminated, and the "green electricity credits" have been launched, and a number of low-carbon homestays and breeding bases have been built to achieve a win-win situation of economic and ecological environmental benefits.
Not only that, the country's first island "green hydrogen" demonstration project has also been put into operation in Dachen Island, realizing zero carbon in the whole process from clean electricity to clean gas energy conversion and supply; Implement the "Blue Cycle" project for marine plastic pollution control, and reduce the carbon emissions of newly produced plastics through digital technology.
In October last year, the Dachen Island Mussel Farming Carbon Sequestration Project completed the province's first marine blue carbon (shellfish) transaction through an online auction. This carbon sink transaction will be reasonably distributed through the Huimin Company Co-prosperity Fund, giving full play to the small capital to leverage and stimulate industrial development, complete the conversion of marine blue carbon value, and achieve ecological co-prosperity.
