The Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment recently issued the "Announcement on the First Paid Bidding for the Issuance of Chongqing Carbon Emission Allowances in 2022", clarifying that at 10:00 on March 7, 2024, the paid issuance of allowances will be carried out in the form of bidding transactions, and Chongqing United Equity Exchange Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Stock Exchange) is responsible for organizing online bidding for key emitting enterprises. The quota of 600,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent is issued this time, and the bidding floor price issued this time is the weighted average price of the city's carbon market quota pricing declaration transaction for 6 consecutive months before the announcement date, that is, 44.8 yuan/ton.
