Recently, the final of the "First Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei College Student Green Innovation Competition" with the theme of "Green and Low-carbon Life, Building a Better Home Together" was held in TFI Higher Education Science and Technology Innovation Park. The event was jointly guided by the Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment and the Municipal Education Commission, hosted by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Environmental Science Society and China Environment News, and undertaken by Tianjin Polytechnic University. After fierce competition in the finals, five projects from Tianjin Polytechnic Normal University, including "Research and Application of Self-lubricating Coating for Straw Grinder Guillotine", won the first prize in the graduate track, and five projects including "Low-carbon Recyclable Express Box" from Tianjin Sino-German Vocational and Technical University won the first prize in the undergraduate track.
Zhang Tao, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Tianjin Ecological Environment Bureau, said in his speech that this green innovation competition is a competition to set up a platform and promote innovation through competition, stimulate the scientific and technological innovation potential of young students, promote the organic connection of ecological and environmental protection education chain, talent chain and innovation chain and industrial chain, and promote the formation of a new fashion of advocating ecological civilization in the whole society, everything, always and everywhere, which is a specific measure and vivid practice to fully implement the spirit of the National Ecological and Environmental Protection Conference.
It is understood that this competition is the first ecological environment competition jointly held by Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Since its launch in April this year, a total of 248 popular science and entrepreneurship works and 183 practical entrepreneurship works have been collected from universities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei in the team competition. After the launching ceremony, open solicitation of registrations, and roadshows, 200 people finally won the Excellence Award of the first Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei University Student Green Innovation Competition, 30 projects won the awards of the popular science creation group competition, 15 projects won the network popularity award of the popular science creation group competition, 36 projects were shortlisted for the finals of the undergraduate track practice entrepreneurship group competition, and 14 projects were shortlisted for the finals of the graduate track practice entrepreneurship group competition.
In the final roadshow defense, the finalists of the university groups carried out practical entrepreneurship results reports around a variety of green technology application scenarios, and shared the path and thinking of implementing green and low-carbon production and lifestyle. The contestants made statements from the aspects of project highlights, product advantages, market prospects, etc., demonstrating the solid professional ability and scientific and technological innovation thinking of contemporary college students. Participants said that through the competition platform, they were able to communicate with industry experts in depth, and some project leaders expressed their hope to use the competition platform to achieve rapid transformation of scientific research results.
Zhang Rui, the person in charge of the "Research and Application of Self-lubricating Coating for Straw Grinder Guillotine" of Tianjin Vocational and Technical Normal University, the winner of the first prize of the graduate track, said that the design source of the project is that the team is concerned that the number of crop residues in China is very large, but the utilization rate is not high, "The self-lubricating coating we designed can make the coated guillotine blade and the straw crusher have the same life cycle, save manpower and material resources, improve work efficiency, and contribute to rural revitalization." The team of "Low-carbon Recyclable Express Box" of Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences found that a large amount of express waste would be generated in the daily process of receiving express delivery, which was very unenvironmentally friendly, so it was inspired by the project and designed a low-carbon recyclable express box in combination with the concept of "zero-waste city". Li Zhitong, the person in charge of the project, told reporters that this express box is designed in the form of a bag, which is different from the express box on the market, the cost of the express box is lower, and its supporting QR code is convenient for recycling, and at the same time the emerging degradable environmental protection materials are used, and there is no release of harmful gases in the degradation process, which can be recycled and reused many times to reduce express packaging waste. Volunteers told reporters that the first Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei University Student Green Innovation Competition has attracted more than 30 colleges and universities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and more than 10,000 students have participated in the event. In terms of the design of the competition system, the competition pays more attention to the transformation of practice, designs the practice entrepreneurship link for the first time, and uses it as a very important scoring basis, and also provides guidance, docking and incubation services for the projects participating in the practice of entrepreneurship, so as to further realize the in-depth organic combination of production, learning, research and application.
