Carbon dioxide concentrations in China continued to increase last year
The China Meteorological Administration recently released the "2022 China Greenhouse Gas Bulletin". In FY2022, the CO2 and methane concentrations at the six regional background stations in China mostly showed an increasing trend compared with FY2021. Among them, the concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide observed at the global atmospheric background station of Wariguan in Qinghai were 419.3±0.2 ppm, 0.6 ppb (micrograms/L) in 197±9, and 336.5±0.2 ppb, respectively, which were roughly the same as the average concentrations in the mid-latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, and the increase in carbon dioxide concentration compared with 2021 was basically the same as the global increase.
NIO acquired some of JAC's production equipment and assets for 3.16 billion yuan
NIO announced on December 5 that it had signed a definitive agreement with Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group to acquire certain production equipment and assets. JAC is a major state-owned automaker in China, and NIO's current models are co-manufactured by JAC and NIO. According to the agreement, NIO will acquire the production equipment and assets of JAC's first and second advanced manufacturing bases, with a total price excluding tax of approximately 3.16 billion yuan.
