Since the approval of the project in 2018, Xing'an League has continuously increased relevant policy support, taken the initiative in project approval, power grid layout, market consumption, financial assistance, social security, etc., optimized the environment, promoted the coordinated development of new energy and related industries, and made joint efforts to better serve enterprises to carry out project construction and promote the smooth completion and operation of the project.

The smooth commissioning of the project is also inseparable from the strong grid support provided by State Grid Mengdong Company. In order to let the new energy have a "road" to go and "ride the wind" out of the alliance, the State Grid Mengdong Electric Power overcame difficulties and obstacles, opened up a green channel, promoted the supporting power grid project, and completed the power transmission project of the 500 thousand volt booster station in only four and a half months, ensuring that the new energy project was "connected to the grid when completed", laying a "high-speed road" for the 3 million kilowatt wind power project of China General Nuclear Power Corporation, and creating an unprecedented "acceleration" of power transmission.

CGNPC's Xing'an League's 3 million kilowatt wind power project provides more than 10 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity every year, which is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by about 2.96 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions by about 8.02 million tons, which is equivalent to afforestation of 345,000 mu, bringing significant ecological benefits to Xing'an League.

The project was put into operation at full capacity, which further promoted the transformation and utilization of Xing'an League's advantageous resources, opened up a new development space for Xing'an League, and enabled the development of the new energy industry to take a "free ride" and enter the "fast lane".

In addition to the ecological benefits, the project also brings economic benefits. It is reported that the whole life cycle of the project has contributed more than 5 billion yuan to the tax revenue of the Xing'an League.

In addition, CGN has integrated regional resources, explored and implemented a new energy sustainable industrial cycle assistance model that drives the regional economy and improves people's livelihood with major projects as a whole, and has laid out "one park, one school, one place and two fields" in Xing'an League, including the Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Innovation Demonstration Industrial Park of Xing'an League Economic and Technological Development Zone, CGNPC's Ulanhot Egret School, CGNPC's Xing'an League Operation and Maintenance Base, and Keyouqianqi's 1 million kilowatt wind farm and Keyouzhongqi's 2 million kilowatt wind farm, to achieve all-round social benefits.

It is worth mentioning that the project has also achieved a number of firsts in the field of new energy in China, and is the first new energy project in the country to be consumed through DC 800kV UHV, equipped with the first 1000MVA (megavolt-ampere) / 500kV three-phase integrated main transformer in China's new energy industry, which has effectively driven the technological innovation of the upstream of the industrial chain. At the same time, the project is also the first onshore wind power project with a 500kV voltage level connected to the power system, the first wind power project to receive multi-level dispatching at the same time as network regulation and provincial dispatching, the first wind power project to use distributed condenser, and the first intelligent wind farm to use 500kV substation one-key sequential control technology.

By adding green power facilities such as photovoltaic and wind power, replacing coal with electricity for clean heating, and equipping the port with intelligent monitoring technology of the energy monitoring platform, the port comprehensive project can achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions at the port. In particular, the smart city management and control display platform has built the first zero-carbon demonstration building in the northern alpine region through zero-energy consumption and zero-carbon building units based on photovoltaic energy supply, creating a beautiful business card for Arshan zero-carbon town.

In October 2023, the Xing'an League Administration and China General Nuclear Power Corporation signed a new framework agreement on the basis of years of good cooperation, focusing on the Horqin Sandy Land Annihilation War, comprehensive management of new energy, circular economy industry, pumped storage, energy technology innovation and industrial implementation and other fields, to carry out multi-faceted and in-depth cooperation, and help Xing'an League to take a new path of high-quality development led by "ecological priority and green development".
