On January 22, the first 6.25 MW wind turbine unit of the wind-solar-storage integration project of the Meishan low-carbon terminal demonstration project was connected to the grid for power generation. This means that the first port distributed wind power project in Zhejiang Province has been officially connected to the grid.
It is reported that when the wind speed is greater than 2.5 m/s, the blades will rotate and the fan will start to generate electricity. In the event of a typhoon or wind speed greater than 20 m/s, the wind turbine will automatically shut down. According to the wind resource assessment of Meishan Port, the average daily power generation of a wind turbine is about 30,000 kWh.
As the first port decentralized wind power generation project in the province, the wind turbine here uses a new technology - the wind turbine adopts super large wind wheel control technology, which can solve the fatigue load caused by unbalanced air flow and other factors on the swept surface of the wind turbine, which can increase the power generation efficiency by 2%. In terms of materials, the innovative use of new material castings for wind turbines can reduce weight by about 20%.

It is understood that the Meishan low-carbon terminal demonstration project is a new power system port demonstration practice project built by State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company.
The project consists of five 6.25 MW wind turbines and 1.72 MW peak watt photovoltaic, 2 MWh energy storage project and energy management system, which will be connected to the grid at the end of June this year, with an estimated annual clean energy power generation capacity of about 59.17 million kWh, which can save about 5.2 million yuan in energy consumption costs and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 22,600 tons per year.
In October last year, Zhejiang Provincial Seaport Group, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group and State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. signed the "Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Promoting the Green and Low-Carbon Construction of Ports in Zhejiang Province", giving full play to the advantages and resources of both parties to cooperate in the construction of port power grids, port electric energy substitution, comprehensive energy efficiency improvement, and energy and carbon collaborative management.

At present, Meishan Port has achieved full coverage of high-voltage and low-voltage shore power at 10 container terminal berths, and the shore power connection operation has allowed the port area to bid farewell to the "diesel smell".
In addition, Meishan Port has also vigorously promoted the electrification of equipment, with 225 large-scale loading and unloading equipment accounting for 100% of clean energy, and 164 electric container trucks being assembled, with an electrification rate of 42%.
