Sinochem New Network News On May 31, all 4596 key energy-using enterprises in Zhejiang Province completed the annual carbon emission budget approval. This marks that Zhejiang has achieved carbon emission management for enterprises with annual energy consumption exceeding 5000 tons of standard coal and high-energy-consuming and high-emission enterprises with annual energy consumption exceeding 1000 tons of standard coal, opening up the "last mile" of energy conservation and carbon reduction work.

It is reported that since 2024, Zhejiang has focused on controlling fossil energy consumption. In order to connect with the local "double control" goal of carbon emissions and provide guidance for enterprise energy budget goals, the "Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction e-Account" platform adds a new fossil energy consumption budget management area based on the budgeted management of energy use in energy categories such as electricity, coal, and natural gas. With the total carbon emissions as the core indicator, a "provincial-city-county-enterprise" four-level carbon emission budget hierarchical management mechanism has been established to comprehensively integrate energy consumption budgets, fossil energy consumption budgets, energy conservation, The four major indicators of renewable energy consumption weight promote corporate active participation and government sunshine supervision.

Zhao Xinzhe, product manager of the Energy Big Data Center of Zhejiang Province, said that the new fossil energy consumption budget management zone will guide key enterprises in the province to use more renewable energy such as photovoltaics and wind energy, and promote the green transformation of the energy-use structure.

In recent years, Zhejiang has focused on fossil energy consumption budget management and energy efficiency diagnosis, vigorously promoted equipment upgrades, renewable energy replacements, and energy management improvements in key energy-using enterprises, and guided key energy-using enterprises to actively participate in energy conservation and carbon reduction. In 2023, Zhejiang will provide enterprises with a total of 299 renewable energy alternative solutions, with the total amount of alternative energy equivalent to 502 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and saving 142,100 tons of standard coal.
