Zhonggong Education and EESIA will promote a green and low-carbon talent training plan, and will use existing channels to recruit students

On March 28, at the 2024 Annual Summit of Energy and Environmental Service Industry, Zhonggong Education and EESIA reached a strategic cooperation on the cultivation of green and low-carbon talents, and launched a training plan for management trainees in building energy conservation and carbon reduction technology.

It is reported that the training plan will use the existing channel resources of Zhonggong to recruit students nationwide, and the training direction includes management, operation and maintenance, technology and sales, etc., and is committed to cultivating a group of compound engineering and technical talents who understand technology, operation, management and high stickiness for "double carbon" enterprises.

Policy support The demand for "dual carbon" talents is expanding rapidly

Li Qingju, Secretary-General of EESIA, said that the development of green and low-carbon industries is accelerating, and the corresponding demand for talents is also expanding. It is understood that China has introduced a number of "double carbon" related policies, focusing on the construction of the "double carbon" talent system, emphasizing the strengthening of green and low-carbon education, promoting professional transformation, deepening the integration of industry and education, and strengthening teachers.

In the 2022 edition of the Occupational Classification Dictionary of the People's Republic of China, green occupations account for about 8% of the total number of occupations. Among them, 17 fields of energy conservation and environmental protection, 6 fields of cleaner production, 12 fields of clean energy, 29 fields of ecological environment, 25 fields of green upgrading of infrastructure, and 45 fields of green services are involved.

At the same time, from the perspective of market demand, the demand for "dual carbon" talents in all walks of life is rapidly expanding. According to the data of Maimai's 2023 Talent Report, the total number of positions recruited by enterprises in 2022 decreased by 21.67% year-on-year, but the number of jobs in the carbon neutral industry increased by 296.9%, and the number of jobs in new energy vehicles increased by 198.9%. According to a set of data released by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China needs about 550,000 to 1 million "dual carbon" talents. At present, there are only about 100,000 relevant practitioners, and there is a large talent gap.

In this context, Zhonggong Education and EESIA have reached a strategic cooperation to jointly develop and design discipline and professional courses in the emerging fields of "double carbon" such as energy conservation and carbon reduction, comprehensive energy services, new energy, energy storage, comprehensive utilization of resources, and carbon market, and strive to cultivate scarce and compound talents in line with national strategic goals.

Six months of practical operation, mentoring and apprenticeship rotation training

"Carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" is a broad and profound change. "Dual carbon" is not only an international obligation, but also an inherent demand for China to achieve high-quality development. Carbon and energy economy are closely related, as long as we achieve low-carbon and clean production, our emissions of pollutants will be reduced, energy will be more sustainable, and the economy will gradually embark on the road of high-quality development, so the "double carbon" goal is very important, and it is also a long and complex process.

In order to promote the realization of the "dual carbon" goal, it is necessary to have the support of the talent system, and the strategic cooperation between Zhonggong Education and EESIA is of great practical significance to promote the cultivation of dual carbon talents.

Liang Lei, the person in charge of the Zhonggong Education Project, said that the program will provide students with three training modules: workplace soft skills, professional hard skills and practical skills. She mentioned that the first phase of the program will open a shift of 50 people, and the training duration will be "1+6" months. Among them, the first 1 month is the general theoretical knowledge training stage, and the last 6 months is the practical ability training stage of the enterprise, which adopts the mentoring and apprenticeship rotation training method, focusing on the actual work scenarios and employment needs of the enterprise, and providing multi-dimensional professional courses such as safety production, industry knowledge, professional technology, and operation management. The teaching venue is not limited to the classroom, but also will be carried out at the site of enterprises and key large-scale energy station projects.

At the same time, EESIA and Zhonggong Education will issue career development suggestions for students' theoretical and practical training, so that enterprises can intuitively understand students' work ability and personal level, and serve as a reference for enterprises to hire and train in the direction of training.

It is worth noting that the plan focuses on the whole process management of talent selection, training and retention, breaking the traditional one-way output model, and enterprises can intervene in advance and customize the selection and training of talents according to their actual needs, so as to ensure that the output of talents can not only meet the general standards of the industry, but also accurately meet the job needs of enterprises and reduce the risk of brain drain.

Liang Lei said that in the future, it will cooperate with EESIA to carry out multi-level and subdivided training classes to help the cultivation of talents in green and low-carbon industries, and provide talent support and intellectual support for promoting the realization of the dual carbon goals.
