Beijing Green Exchange Helps China Chemical Building Achieve Carbon Neutrality

Under the guidance of the national dual carbon goal, in order to establish a green and low-carbon society and create a new situation of green, low-carbon and high-quality development, China National Chemical Engineering Group (CNE) has given full play to the leading and exemplary role of the green and low-carbon headquarters of central enterprises, comprehensively carried out the creation of energy-saving institutions, improved the system of energy conservation and resources, strived to promote green office, and vigorously carried out publicity and education on conservation culture and green life. The certificate awarding and lighting ceremony of the "Carbon Neutrality" Building of China Chemical Building has become another vivid practice of China's chemical green transformation.
In terms of emission reduction measures, China Chemical Building has carried out energy conservation and carbon reduction through the implementation of measures such as automatic cleaning and energy saving of central air-conditioning units, intelligent control of zonal lighting, and replacement of old equipment and facilities, and continued to promote green office and green travel, and practiced the concept of green and low-carbon operation. According to the calculation, from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, the carbon emissions generated by all office activities of China Chemical Building totaled 1825.86tCO2e, which were offset by the purchase of international voluntary emission reductions equivalent to international green power certificates to achieve carbon neutrality.
