thyssenkrupp established the Carbon Reduction Technologies business area and announced the appointment of CEO and CFO

On September 26, thyssenkrupp announced that it will establish a business area (Decarbon Technologies) from October 1, 2023. The business area is formed by the integration of several businesses within the group with key technologies for industrial decarbonization, including: thyssenkrupp Roth Erde, thyssenkrupp New Era, Wood and Burleigh Hughes.

Miguel Lopez, CEO of thyssenkrupp AG, and Klaus Kiesberg, Chief Financial Officer, will serve as CEO and CFO, respectively, in the Decarbonization Technologies business area. The combined business area will have around 15,000 employees and sales of around EUR 3 billion in the 2021/2022 fiscal year, headquartered in Dortmund, Germany.
