In order to further prepare for the first National Carbon Market Simulation Trading Competition, strengthen the participants' understanding of the relevant rules of the competition, and improve the overall quality of the competition, the first National Carbon Market Simulation Trading Competition was successfully held from August 8 to 10, 2023. More than 300 enterprises and institutions from all over the country in the power generation, petrochemical, chemical, building materials, iron and steel, nonferrous metals, paper and civil aviation industries participated in the seminar.
The presentation focused on the overall design and rule description of the competition, and the Shanghai Environmental Exchange introduced in detail the role setting, transaction targets, trading methods, award criteria, timing and other related contents through special lectures, on-site demonstrations, interactive exchanges, and a combination of online and offline, and demonstrated the functions and operations of the simulated trading system on site.
The competition is hosted by the Shanghai Environmental Exchange, co-organized by Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd., and co-supported by CNBM Green Energy Co., Ltd. It aims to further popularize the relevant knowledge of the national carbon market, enhance the enthusiasm of market entities to participate in carbon trading, promote the improvement of the comprehensive carbon management level of enterprises, and expand the influence of the national carbon market. On July 16, 2023, the competition was officially launched at the China Carbon Trading Market Development Seminar and the second anniversary of the launch of the national carbon market.
At present, the registration for the competition has been completed on schedule and will officially start at 9:30 am on August 14, 2023.
