LANXESS carbon neutral solutions at the Polyurethanes Exhibition

　　On August 2, LANXESS unveiled a series of innovative products and solutions related to carbon neutrality at the 19th China International Polyurethane Exhibition held in Guangzhou.

　　At the exhibition, LANXESS showcased the AdipreneGreen brand MDI polyether polyurethane prepolymers, which use renewable bio-based raw materials to help polyurethane processors reduce CO2 emissions by 20%~30%. Compared to conventional petroleum-based polyether prepolymers, the AdipreneGreen range is based on different target hardness of polyurethane elastomers and can use bio-based raw materials of up to 30 to 90 percent. At the same time, existing polyurethane processing units will continue to be fit, processing in much the same way as conventional prepolymers, without the need to adjust material handling, processing temperatures or even mixing ratios. "AdipreneGreen prepolymers also offer the flexibility to choose whether they can be poured by hand or machine, depending on the site conditions." Zhang Zhenglei, Vice President of LANXESS Polyurethane Systems Business Unit Asia Pacific, said.

　　It is reported that LANXESS plans to achieve climate neutrality in the upstream and downstream supply chains by 2050. To achieve this goal, LANXESS has launched the "Net Zero Value Chain Plan" to develop sustainable raw materials, green logistics, and climate-neutral products.
