Jiangsu Kaibeijia Ecological Environment Technology Co., Ltd. is an enterprise that has been deeply engaged in the field of environmental protection for many years. In October 2023, the company's FRP waste treatment related projects officially passed the acceptance and were put into operation, which is the first in Changzhou. "There are a total of 55 FRP enterprises in production in the town, and nearly 30 have signed cooperation agreements with Kaibeijia to transport 100% of FRP waste to enterprises for ecological treatment and utilization. Changzhou Wujin District Qianhuang Town Economic Development Bureau ecological and environmental protection post director Yu Qing introduced, FRP is the characteristics of the former Huang Town, a large number of related enterprises, the overall annual output of about 2,000 tons, in the past by the enterprises to find their own channels for waste treatment, or landfill, or incineration, there are different problems - such as landfill occupation of land resources, difficult to sustain; domestic waste incineration and disposal methods increase carbon emissions, the early generation of fly ash, the middle and late temperature is unstable, the secondary pollution is serious, is not conducive to the "double carbon" the achievement of goals, etc. While it has a negative impact on the ecological environment, it also causes a considerable degree of waste of resources. The commissioning of Kaibega-related projects provides a "good place" for these high-energy consumption products.

Zhuang Kaiyuan, head of Jiangsu Kaibeijia Ecological Environment Technology Co., Ltd., said that at present, the project has a designed annual processing capacity of 3,000 tons. In the next step, under the coordination and promotion of the former Huangzhen FRP Industry Chamber of Commerce, more FRP enterprises in the town and even other regions will be included.

In Huangli Town, Wujin District, Changzhou City, aluminum ash slag, which is classified as hazardous waste, also has a "good home". After the aluminum ash enters Changzhou Ruifu Metal Co., Ltd., after ball grinding, screening, calcination, cooling and other processes, according to the grade, it is divided into granular aluminum and high-grained bauxite and sold to downstream factories, processed into ceramics and then sold to the market, all hazardous wastes are "eaten and wiped clean", all resources are utilized, and the economic and social value of hazardous wastes is maximized to be explored. Changzhou Ruifu Metal Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation in December 2023, with a design treatment capacity of 30,000 tons per year, and has signed cooperation agreements with more than 20 related enterprises.

Shi Mingbo, the person in charge of the enterprise, introduced that most of the aluminum ash slag produced in the production process of relevant enterprises in Changzhou and even southern Jiangsu needs to be transported to an environmental protection enterprise in northern Jiangsu for compliance treatment, which not only has a high treatment cost, but also has a long treatment cycle, and there are environmental safety risks in the transportation process, which many enterprises are deeply troubled by. The commissioning of the project not only reduces the treatment cost of relevant enterprises in the local and surrounding areas, but also contributes to the local ecological and environmental protection work.

"The 'zero-waste city' is a cell project to build a beautiful China, which is of great significance to the in-depth fight against pollution and the realization of the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. Among them, harmlessness, reduction and resource utilization are the best choices for hazardous waste treatment and utilization, and they are also an important starting point for building a 'zero-waste city'. Zhang Jie, deputy director of Changzhou Wujin Ecological Environment Bureau, said.

It is reported that the total area of the implementation scope of the "zero-waste city" construction in Wujin District, Changzhou City is 883.99 square kilometers, and the implementation period is from 2022 to 2025. At present, in view of the problems existing in the statistics, disposal and management system of solid waste, Wujin District of Changzhou City has put forward 50 key tasks from five aspects: system construction, technical system construction, market system construction, supervision system construction and characteristic tasks, and deployed 14 key projects, from general solid waste to cyanobacteria and aquatic plants, from agricultural waste to green waste, from multi-source organic waste to domestic waste. Source reduction, resource utilization, harmless treatment and disposal and refined management of solid waste in the construction and living fields will accelerate the construction of a modern environmental governance system in an all-round way. Up to now, 7 of the 14 key projects have been completed, and the remaining 7 are progressing in an orderly manner.

"By 2025, the comprehensive utilization rate of straw and livestock and poultry manure will reach more than 97% and 99% respectively, the recycling rate of waste agricultural film will reach more than 95%, the harmless disposal rate of pesticide packaging waste will reach 100%, the utilization and disposal rate of domestic waste will remain 100%, the comprehensive utilization rate of general industrial solid waste will reach more than 98%, and the resource utilization rate of construction waste will reach more than 75%. Zhang Jie introduced, Changzhou Wujin District will also vigorously carry out the construction of "no waste cell" projects such as no waste institutions, no waste shopping malls, no waste hotels, etc., and the goal is to cultivate at least 20 new "zero waste city cells" in the whole district by 2025, and fully integrate the concept of "no waste city" into all aspects of production and life, and actively form a new model of "no waste Wujin", which provides reference for the city to carry out the construction of "no waste city".
