Following the selection of the green production pollution reduction and carbon reduction case of polyolefin unit in June this year as the second batch of collaborative benchmarking projects for pollution reduction and carbon reduction in Zhejiang Province, Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company's ""Waste Oil" Turning Waste into Baofei - 100,000 tons/year Bio-Aviation Coal Unit" was recently listed again on the list of the third batch of provincial collaborative benchmarking projects for pollution reduction and carbon reduction.
According to the application materials, the bio-aviation fuel project has a total investment of 145.743 million yuan, using catering waste oil as raw material, using the SRJET technology developed by China Petroleum and Chemical Research Institute to change the 1# hydrogenation unit to a bio-aviation fuel hydrogenation device, with a bio-aviation fuel working condition of 100,000 tons/year (based on 8,400 hours of annual start-up). The device realizes digital delivery, and has a 3D model, a gas alarm system, an industrial video, etc., to monitor the operation of the device in an all-round way.
According to the information provided by the company, the bio-jet fuel products of the Zhenhai Refining and Oiling Oil Hydrogenation (HEFA) route have successively obtained the global RSB biomass aviation fuel certification and the "Technical Standards and Regulations Project Approval" (CTSOA) issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China this year. At present, the bio-jet fuel produced by the company has been put into use on domestic routes such as China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Air China, and Colorful Guizhou Airlines.
It is estimated that the carbon dioxide emissions of biojet fuel are 50% of those of fossil fuels. According to the estimation of China's annual consumption of 30 million tons of jet fuel, if all bio-jet fuel is used, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 55 million tons, which is equivalent to planting 500 million trees or reducing the use of 30 million cars, which can be called a concentrated embodiment of the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction.
