The urban green heart was selected into the national list, and the green and low-carbon transformation of energy has become a typical example

In the past, the smoky chemical plant has been transformed into a "green lung" of the city for citizens to check in, and the low-carbon and green Green Heart Park in Beijing's sub-center has won another national award, becoming one of the first 23 typical cases of green and low-carbon energy transformation. According to the list of typical cases of green and low-carbon energy transformation recently released by the National Energy Administration, the Urban Green Heart project has become the only case selected in Beijing.

As an exemplary and typical new energy utilization project, the "Beijing Sub-central City Green Heart Green Energy Supply and Carbon Management Project" was jointly declared by Beitou Group and State Grid Beijing Tongzhou Power Supply Company, and finally stood out from more than 150 cases across the country.

The reason why it was selected into the first batch of lists is closely related to the energy supply, energy consumption and green and low-carbon development of the urban green heart. Wei Guo, general manager of Beitou Ecological Environment Company, said that as a model of green development, the urban green heart has produced visible and tangible ecological benefits and social influence. There are photovoltaics, ground source heat pumps, energy storage, green electricity, green buildings, charging piles, ecological restoration and smart management in the urban green heart, and the effective experience formed by these rich low-carbon application scenarios can be quickly promoted.

Taking 2023 as an example, the urban green heart will use 1.8 million kilowatt hours of green electricity, the cooling and heating will be dominated by ground source heat pumps, and all photovoltaic power generation in the region will be consumed, coupled with the offset of regional forest carbon sinks, so that the carbon emissions of the urban green heart will be significantly reduced. Last year, the annual carbon emissions of the urban green heart were about 1,694 tons, compared with other regions, such a large-scale and large-scale area has achieved "near-zero carbon" operation.

According to the plan, it is expected that by 2025, all urban green heart energy terminals will be electrified and all green electricity will be used to achieve the goal of "zero carbon" operation.
