In 2023, Ji'an will continue to fight the battle of blue sky, clear water and pure land, and has been awarded the "excellent" rank in the provincial pollution prevention and control campaign effectiveness assessment for four consecutive years. Ji'an's sky is bluer, the city's average PM2.5 concentration is 23 micrograms per cubic meter, and the excellent air quality rate is 98.8%, ranking among the top in the province; the water is clearer, the excellent water quality rate of the national and provincial test sections is maintained at 100%, and the comprehensive water quality index is the first in the province; the mountains are greener, 330,000 mu of artificial afforestation and 356,000 mu of degraded forest restoration have been completed, and the first provincial-level local standard for forest chief system work in the country has been promulgated. The National Low-Carbon City, the Circular Economy Demonstration City and the Jinggangshan Economic and Technological Development Zone Ecological Industrial Park have passed the acceptance.

Regarding the key work of ecological and environmental protection in 2024, Wang Yalian emphasized that it is necessary to strictly prevent and control pollution. Solidly promote the new "30 special actions of the eight landmark battles", and deepen the rectification of feedback problems from the central and provincial ecological and environmental protection inspectors. We will continue to tackle key problems in air control, implement coordinated treatment of PM2.5 and ozone, and strengthen the comprehensive treatment of industrial, mobile and dust sources to ensure that air quality is stable and improving. Continue to implement water control actions, carry out special rectification of river outlets, drinking water sources, and rural black and odorous water bodies to ensure that the excellent water quality rate of the section is maintained at 100%. Promote the paid use and trading of energy use rights, pollutant discharge rights, water rights, and carbon emission rights, carry out pilot projects for the development of forestry carbon sink projects, accelerate the construction of green mines, and promote the transformation of resources into assets, assets into capital, and capital into capital.
