Since 2022, Shendong has taken the opportunity of implementing the national "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" to formulate the goals of "dual control" and "double carbon", and explore the creation of a green, low-carbon and circular development model.

The "zero-carbon" development demonstration mining area is one of the key projects in the establishment of the Shendong Pilot Demonstration Zone for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. In accordance with the work idea of demonstration first and comprehensive guidance, Shendong takes the Burtai Coal Mine as a pilot to create a "zero-carbon" development demonstration mining area in Shendong characterized by "low-carbon life, zero-carbon production, and ecologically negative carbon", and then explores the energy and carbon path of "reduction + substitution + sink", and continuously improves energy utilization efficiency and methane utilization rate by "reducing" carbon emissions in the production process, "replace" energy consumption structure, increasing the proportion of clean energy use, and improving carbon "sink" capacity to achieve carbon emission reduction and carbon neutrality.

The "zero-carbon" development demonstration mining area that is being implemented and promoted has a clear "carbon ledger": through the transformation of ventilation automation and remote control system of Shendong Burtai Coal Mine, the distributed 0.581MWp photovoltaic power generation project in the industrial plant, and the intelligent coal preparation plant transformation project of Bultai Coal Preparation Plant, etc., the annual carbon emission reduction is reduced by about 10,000 tons; The biomass boiler construction project can reduce heat consumption and achieve carbon neutrality of 22,000 tons per year, and fully develop the ecological carbon sink of Burtai, vigorously build carbon sink forests, and greatly improve the ecological carbon sink, which can achieve carbon sequestration of 100,000 tons per year.

Not only that, but the green of industrial extension also makes the "green" effect shine.

Overlooking the Bultai area from above, the rows of photovoltaic panels stretching in the wide open space seem to be covered with pieces of "dark blue armor", and they are standing upwards to harvest the "sunshine", which is spectacular.

Here, the "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" Bultai Innovation Practice Base, which is characterized by "modern energy + ecological governance + ecological industry + X", is organically combining photovoltaic power generation with comprehensive ecological management of mining areas, and innovatively promoting the integrated development of multiple industries such as on-board photovoltaic and off-board breeding and breeding through three-dimensional value-added utilization of land.

It is necessary not only to expand greenery, but also to increase value. It is worth mentioning that the photovoltaic project in the subsidence area of the Burtai coal mine, which is being planned and promoted, has an annual power generation capacity of 400 million kWh and can neutralize 300,000 tons of carbon emissions.

In this year, Shendong continued to accelerate the expansion of "green space", built an energy management system for 13 mines, promoted permanent magnet variable frequency motors, solar bathing and exhaust wind waste heat utilization, photovoltaic power generation, and implemented emission reduction measures such as biological boilers, pulverized coal boilers, and efficient utilization of mine water, and the comprehensive energy consumption per ton of coal production was 2.83 kg of standard coal/ton, which was lower than the national advanced value of 3.0 kg of standard coal/ton.

Unleashing "Green Momentum"

Green and low-carbon development is inseparable from scientific and technological innovation. Over the past year, Shendong has made great efforts to increase key core technological innovation in the field of coal production to stimulate "green kinetic energy".

In Baode Coal Mine, the gangue is transported and transferred through various equipment through various equipment in turn to make qualified slurry, and finally the slurry is pressed into the slurry pipeline through a high-pressure grouting pump, and finally injected into the stratum separation space of the goaf. This cycle vividly interprets the gangue separation grouting underground filling project.

On June 1, 2023, Shendong has officially completed two sets of gangue filling systems in Baode Coal Mine, which meet the environmental protection needs of solid waste disposal for continuous production in coal mines, and also realize green mining in the mine.

Since the beginning of this year, Shendong has joined hands with China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) to promote the introduction of the "Technical Specifications for Coal Gangue Backfill for Land Consolidation" technical standard for the energy industry, which can fill the technical gap of coal gangue backfill for land consolidation, open up the gap in the technical specifications for coal gangue land reclamation, and let coal gangue "turn waste into treasure" and inject fresh cases into green coal mining.

This year, in coal production, the practice of stimulating "green kinetic energy" has been continuously staged.

In December, the Baode Coal Mine Gas Efficient Extraction Project was listed as the first batch of national demonstration projects, with an estimated annual gas production of 2,330 cubic meters, power generation of 467.6 million kWh, and emission reduction of 349,500 tons of carbon dioxide.

In order to make rational use of the "companion organism" of gas in coal mining, Shendong took Baode Coal Mine as a typical example to explore the advanced treatment mode of gas in large areas above and below the mine, and actively promoted energy conservation and emission reduction.

The same energy-saving and emission-reduction actions are also being actively promoted in the washing and processing of coal.

"We started by optimizing the system process and reducing the installed power. Tian Yanfeng, deputy director of the Shangwan Coal Preparation Plant of the Shendong Washing Center, said.

Since 2023, the washing center has formulated the work idea of "safety and efficiency, energy saving and consumption reduction, optimization and simplification of the process", starting from the aspects of improving quality and efficiency, equipment update and maintenance, safety production standardization, and intelligent construction, streamlining and optimizing the process system, and doing a good job in energy saving and consumption reduction.

Shangwan Coal Preparation Plant actively simplified and optimized the system, and took the lead in simplifying, optimizing and upgrading the screening system through integration and optimization and equipment upgrading, and withdrew the load of 488 kilowatts; Subsequently, the 2-2 coal circulating water of the Bulianta Coal Preparation Plant was transformed, the load was withdrawn from 147 kilowatts, and the loading 526 drive was optimized and transformed, the load was reduced by 235 kilowatts, the installed power of the equipment was greatly reduced, and the energy saving and consumption reduction effect was remarkable.

Taking the opportunity of simplifying and optimizing the system, it is another practical action of the washing center to transform the bottleneck link that restricts the production efficiency of the system to maximize the production efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Daliuta Coal Preparation Plant actively promoted the transformation of the 7107 drive motor and reducer, so that the motor power was increased from 90 kilowatts to 110 kilowatts, and the belt speed of the belt conveyor was increased from 2.5 m/s to 3.15 m/s...... The data that changes before and after improves production efficiency and reduces energy consumption, killing two birds with one stone.

We must not only promote energy conservation and low carbon, but also intelligent transformation. The washing center accelerates the construction of 9 intelligent projects, including intelligent lubrication, intelligent dosing, digital power distribution and intelligent sorting, and makes every effort to build an intelligent coal preparation plant, improve the operation efficiency of the effective system and reduce energy consumption.

Cultivating a "Green Picture"

In the mine water desalination workshop of Shendong Bulianta Coal Mine, the roaring equipment is carrying out advanced treatment of mine water.

"After treatment, the content of fluoride, chloride and sulfate is much lower than the three types of surface water standards, and the total dissolved solids are far lower than the farmland irrigation standards. In addition, by-product salts are recycled to achieve the goal of zero wastewater discharge. The workshop staff introduced.

This kind of exploration and practice is a vivid portrayal of the "three-water synergy" water resources protection and utilization technology, which is the key technology and engineering demonstration of the integrated protection and systematic management of "mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grass and sand" in the Shendong mining area that the company will vigorously promote in 2023.

Since 2023, based on the reality of the prominent contradiction between coal mining and water resource protection, Shendong has explored and built a "three-water synergy" water resources protection and utilization technology system, and innovated the collaborative technologies of water resources protection, water environment governance, and water ecological utilization, which mainly include key technologies such as large-scale hydroxyapatite fluoride removal of mine water, zero discharge of sodium carbonate crystallization of mine water, and all-weather water-saving ecological irrigation. Up to now, 6 sets of fluoride removal and desalination systems have been built, and 153,000 tons of mine water are processed and utilized daily.

In addition to the key element of water, another innovation point of achievement - rock-soil-bacteria "soil collaborative protection and utilization technology", with "soil" to make "green articles". The technical system of "rock-soil-bacteria" soil collaborative protection and utilization was constructed, and the geological environment restoration technology based on the overall subsidence and green mining of bedrock of the super-large working face was innovated, the preparation technology of drought-tolerant self-generated nitrogen-fixing bacteria agent based on arbuscular mycorrhizal soil reclamation, and the biological reclamation technology of subsidence land was integrated and innovated. 4 square kilometers of farmland in the subsidence area were reclaimed, 8.3 square kilometers of coal gangue land was newly reclaimed, and the total soil nitrogen was increased by more than 40%.

Vegetation is also included as a key element. The technical system of "protection-governance-utilization" collaborative vegetation management has been explored and constructed. The vegetation-terrain-soil relationship model, integrated multi-level comprehensive screening of plant species, and integrated plant management and protection technology based on the elimination of stress factors were innovated. The plant allocation patterns of 48 mining site types were refined and optimized, 510 square kilometers of artificial restoration and ecological management were artificially promoted, the vegetation coverage increased from 11% to more than 64%, and the number of plant species increased from 16 to 134.

These new "green landscapes" composed of key elements of water, soil and vegetation have continuously thickened the background of Shendong's development and further empowered Shendong's high-quality development.
