In recent years, Taiyuan City's industry and information technology, science and technology, ecological environment and other relevant functional departments have strengthened their responsibilities, actively benchmarked against the table, formed a strong joint force with the participation of all parties and coordinated promotion, and ensured the completion of the "hard goal" of energy conservation and carbon control while realizing the "hard task" of economic and social development and keeping the "hard bottom line" of energy security, and contributed to the realization of carbon peak and carbon neutrality in the country.
Vigorously cultivate a green manufacturing system. From 2016 to 2022, Taiyuan has cultivated a total of 16 national green factories, 5 green design products, 1 green industrial park, and 1 green management supply chain enterprise. In 2023, 5 green factories including Shanxi Tiandi Coal Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. and the Green Industrial Park of Qingxu Economic Development Zone are currently being publicized on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Vigorously promote the development of green industries. Relying on the Qingxu Fine Chemical Recycling Industrial Park, a complete recycling industry system has been built, so that the enterprises in the park are connected from end to end and interlocking, so as to make the best use of things. Vigorously promote the construction of information infrastructure. The quality and speed of 5G infrastructure ranks first in the country. Up to now, the city has opened a total of 16,286 5G base stations, exceeding the target of opening 14,000 5G base stations throughout the year, achieving comprehensive 5G network coverage in urban areas and townships, basic coverage of key administrative villages, in-depth coverage of key scenarios, and continuous enhancement of network service capabilities. Taiyuan has built an integrated carbon monitoring network, successfully held the 2023 Taiyuan Energy Low-Carbon Development Forum Climate Investment and Financing Parallel Forum, established the Climate Investment and Financing Alliance of the Central Shanxi Urban Agglomeration, signed cooperation agreements with Shanxi Bank, China-Europe Promotion Association and other institutions, established a carbon emission accounting system for key enterprises, promoted the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction of enterprises in key industries, established the Taiyuan China-EU Carbon Footprint Innovation Center, explored the EU's "carbon tariff" response strategy in advance, and promoted scientific research, technology, and projects in the field of climate change response between China and the EU. Seek breakthroughs in the promotion of green travel. Accelerate the full replacement of new energy vehicles for public service vehicles.
