Beijing approved the construction of a municipal-level energy metering center for the power industry and a municipal-level carbon metering center
Recently, the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation approved the construction of BeijingEnergy metering in the power industry中心、北京市碳计量中心，分别围绕Energy metering in the power industry研究与发展、精准“碳计量”需求，助力本市Carbon peak and carbon neutralityGoal implementation.
北京市Energy metering in the power industry中心依托的国网北京市电力公司，是首都能源骨干企业和最大的公用事业单位，也是北京市计量检定授权单位，建有多个大型计量实验室，拥有计量器具自动化检定和智能化仓储系统，电力计量工作基础扎实。已在全市累计换装电能表和采集设备近千万只。新建设的能源计量中心将开展电力计量基础研究，助力支撑电力科技进步，发挥Energy metering in the power industry引领作用，助推用电单位能源转型、节能降耗，更好服务首都经济社会发展。
Beijing Municipal Carbon Metrology Center relies on the Beijing Institute of Metrology and Testing as a national legal metrology verification agency, is the International Legal Metrology Organization (OIML) authorized by the International Legal Metrology Organization (OIML) for the international mutual recognition of fuel dispensers and gas meters, is the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment accredited testing and calibration laboratory, now has the National Ecological Environment Monitoring and Governance Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Beijing), the National Urban Energy Measurement Center (Beijing), for industry, construction, transportation, service industry and other fields to carry out energy-saving testing services. A carbon emission factor traceability device and a traceability algorithm have been developed to achieve real-time and accurate measurement of carbon emissions from electric energy, which have been piloted and verified in relevant science and technology parks in Beijing. The new carbon metering center will be focusedCarbon emission measurement standards, carbon emission measuring instrument calibration research, construction of greenhouse gas emission monitoring and measurement system construction and other research, to help the macro "carbon accounting" to accurate "carbon measurement" transformation.
In order to give full play to the important supporting role of metering in the capital's pollution prevention and control and green, low-carbon and circular development, the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation has planned to carry out the construction of municipal-level energy metering centers in the city since 2021, and has approved the construction of four energy metering (carbon metering) centers. Focusing on Beijing's green industries such as energy conservation and environmental protection, intelligent manufacturing, and new power, the centers have promoted the research of advanced metering technology, promoted the application of smart metering technology, and promoted energy conservation, consumption reduction and efficiency improvement in related fields.
