01.The Party Group of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment held a meeting

From 26 February to 1 March, the 6th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Environment Programme in Nairobi, Kenya. Huang Runqiu, Minister of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, led the delegation, and a delegation from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Water Resources, the China Meteorological Administration and other relevant departments, as well as the Chinese Embassy in Kenya and the Permanent Representative Office to the United Nations Environment Programme attended the meeting.>>> more to read here
From February 26 to March 1, Huang Runqiu, President of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) and Minister of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, attended a series of bilateral and multilateral activities during the 6th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya, to actively promote the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and promote the process of global biodiversity conservation.>>> more to read here
04.The third round of the first batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspectors completed the inspector feedback
On January 30, 2024, the 2nd meeting of the 20th Central Leading Group for Ecological and Environmental Protection Supervision deliberated and approved the inspection report. From February 26th to 28th, the third round of the first batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspectors completed the feedback from the inspectors.
▶The first ecological and environmental protection inspection team of the central government gave feedback on the inspection situation to Fujian Province
▶The second central ecological and environmental protection inspection team gave feedback to Henan Province on the inspection situation
▶The Third Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Supervision Group gave feedback on the inspection to Hainan Province
▶The Fourth Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Supervision Group gave feedback on the inspection to Gansu Province
▶The Fifth Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Supervision Group gave feedback on the inspection to Qinghai Province
05.The State Council Information Office held a regular briefing on the State Council's policy on the "Interim Regulations on the Administration of Carbon Emission Trading".
At 10 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024, the Information Office of the State Council invited Zhao Yingmin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Zhang Yaobo, Director of the Fourth Legislative Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, to introduce the Interim Regulations on the Administration of Carbon Emission Trading and answer questions from reporters.>>> more to read here

08.The Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the results of the national air quality forecast consultation in the first half of March
In the first half of March, the air quality in most of South China and Southwest China was mainly excellent, while the air quality in the rest of the region was mainly good to slightly polluted. Among them, moderate pollution may occur in the northeast region, the central and southern parts of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas, the southern part of Shanxi, and the northern and southeastern parts of Qinghai. Affected by sand and dust weather, moderate or above pollution may occur in western Inner Mongolia, most of Qinghai, central and southern Ningxia, central and northern Shaanxi and northern Shanxi, the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang and some cities in southern Xinjiang.>>> more to read here
