On September 4, the 2023 China International Smart Industry Expo with the theme of "Wisdom from all directions, learning from others' strengths" opened in Chongqing. The core small part of the camera, the crystal oscillator, is independently developed and manufactured by Jingbao.

The reporter saw at the booth of Jingbao that the smallest crystal oscillator was only the size of half a grain of rice. "Don't look at it small, but it's a key component of electronic products." Deng Menglong introduced that if the chip is compared to the brain of an electronic device, then the crystal oscillator is like a pulse, they keep beating at a specific frequency, providing a stable time-frequency benchmark for the system.

The crystal oscillator independently developed by Jingbao has successfully achieved domestic substitution, and its application range in many industries has been expanding. "Now many intelligent terminal companies have thrown olive branches to us, and they are realizing production substitution step by step from the very beginning of experimental samples, and 'BYD Yuan' is starting to be used in batches this year." Deng Menglong said.

In the Sichuan exhibition area, "small" products such as crystal oscillators have become a major feature. Although they are small, they play a role in the development of the industry.

Yibin Fengchuan Power Technology Co., Ltd. brought a palm-sized shift controller, which is the core component of the company's self-developed two-speed electric drive system. At present, the vast majority of new energy electric vehicles use the one-gear electric drive mode, which can not only make the vehicle more powerful, improve the mileage, but also save production costs. Fengchuan Power is an entrepreneurial team from Tsinghua University, which landed in Yibin in 2017 with technology, and is the only manufacturer in the industry with two-gear technology due to its early layout. "At present, we are talking about cooperation with Geely, GAC and other companies to carry out verification and development on passenger cars." Fan Gang, deputy general manager of the company, said.

As the "chain master" enterprise of Sichuan power battery, Sichuan Times focused on green production this time. In March 2022, Sichuan Times took the lead in becoming the world's first zero-carbon battery factory. According to the relevant person in charge of the booth, more than 80% of the company's energy comes from renewable energy hydropower, which can reduce carbon emissions by 400,000 tons per year. The green energy solution of "all-hydropower + zero-carbon natural gas", supplemented by green manufacturing, green logistics and carbon credit offsets, makes the green development path clearly visible.

The Ouyang Minggao Academician Workstation, which is also in Yibin, is committed to building a platform for scientific and technological innovation and achievement transfer and transformation with in-depth cooperation between government, industry, academia and research, and establishes a Sichuan New Energy Vehicle Innovation Center based on the Academician Workstation, so as to build a new energy vehicle technology innovation platform and industrial ecosystem with deep integration of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
