Minmetals graphite adds new momentum to the transformation of the coal city
In winter, the site of Hegang Luobei Minmetals Graphite Industry Project was crowded with people, and it was very lively in the ice and snow.
Since it was introduced into Hegang City, Minmetals Graphite has completed a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan, contributed an output value of 2 billion yuan, and paid taxes of 600 million yuan, making Hegang the world's largest crystalline graphite raw material supply base in one fell swoop, and building a world-class green low-carbon intelligent graphite mine and green graphite industry chain.
In 2019, China Minmetals, China First Heavy Industries, China Resources Group and provincial, municipal and county investors jointly established China Minmetals (Heilongjiang) Graphite Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Minmetals Graphite) to overcome difficulties and efficiently complete the integration of graphite resources in the Yunshan Graphite Mine Area of Hegang through innovative resource integration models.
Focusing on the major strategic needs of the country, Minmetals Graphite innovatively put forward the core development concept of "carbon reduction and carbon treatment with carbon", and built a whole-process intelligent production and control system for "data flow", "ore flow" and "energy flow" through the integration of high-tech means such as "5G + industrial Internet", so as to build a world-class green and low-carbon intelligent mine, smart factory and green industry in Hegang.
At present, Minmetals Graphite has built the world's largest single green and low-carbon intelligent mine with an annual output of 6 million tons of graphite, the world's largest single graphite processing plant with an annual output of 200,000 tons, and an industry-leading spherical graphite project with an annual output of 100,000 tons. Since the beginning of this year, the construction of the graphite high-quality utilization industrial park jointly built by Hegang and Minmetals Graphite has been accelerated, leading the formation of the radiation effect of the rapid development of Hegang's graphite industry.
Minmetals Graphite takes scientific and technological innovation as the engine of development, actively consolidates, supplements, strengthens and shapes the chain, and continues to build a mutually beneficial and win-win community. Focusing on the major technical bottlenecks and difficulties of the whole graphite industry chain, the scientific research team has continuously taken the lead in obtaining the approval of major national scientific research projects such as the National Key R&D Program Graphite Technology Research Institute, the Natural Graphite-based Anode Materials Joint Laboratory, and the Natural Graphite Application Technology R&D Center under the leadership of Wang Jionghui, the head of the National Key R&D Program Graphite Special Project and Chairman of Minmetals Graphite, and the National Key R&D Program Graphite Special Project in 2020 and 2021, and the "1025" Science and Technology Special Project of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission in 2022. At present, positive progress has been made in the new spheroidization process of natural graphite, key technology of equipment, development of new graphite waste materials, research on innovative process of preparation of high-purity graphite, and research and development of natural graphite-based anode material technology.
The cooperation between Minmetals Graphite and Hegang has helped Hegang accelerate its urban transformation and development, and create a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win results. It is expected that in three years, the output value of Hegang graphite and its high-end industry will exceed 30 billion yuan, which is equivalent to rebuilding a Hegang industry.
