Recently, Air Products released its 2023 Sustainability Report, committing to invest at least $15 billion in energy transition pilot projects by 2027 and committing to achieve net-zero carbon emissions from operations by 2050.
The report highlights several world-scale projects to support the energy transition to demonstrate the important role of hydrogen in the energy transition. These include the world's first zero-carbon hydrogen project using renewable energy on a large scale in Saudi Arabia's NEOM New City, which will also build the world's largest green hydrogen complex; Partnered with fuel manufacturer World Energy (World Energy); A net-zero carbon hydrogen complex in Alberta, Canada.
In 2022, Air Products' industrial gas products and technologies reduced customers' CO2 emissions by 86 million metric tons, more than three times the company's emissions. 56% of revenue comes from sustainable products, technologies, services and solutions. Since 2015, the company's plants around the world have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 2 million tons through efficiency improvements.
