According to reports, the large-scale ecological pig farm biogas purification project of the pine forest building in Jinshan Modern Agricultural Park produces about 1.75 million cubic meters of natural gas annually, reduces carbon dioxide emissions by about 3,800 tons, and fundamentally solves the pollution problem of large-scale breeding.
The problem of "gutter oil" flowing to the table, which previously worried the public, the award-winning case of biodiesel made from waste oil from Shanghai Petroleum kitchen gives a new solution to turn waste into treasure. The project blends biodiesel produced from kitchen waste oil and vehicle diesel to produce biodiesel, i.e. B5 diesel. From 2017 to the end of 2023, PetroChina has filled 23.642 million vehicles with 2.218 million tons of B5 diesel, accounting for about 22% of the total diesel supply, and assisted in digesting 168,000 tons of "gutter oil", gradually forming a demonstration effect and scale effect.
According to reports, the project has built a closed-loop supervision system for the whole industry chain of "collection, transportation, disposal and application" of food waste oil in Shanghai, and through the resource reuse of kitchen waste oil and fat, it can prevent waste oil from returning to the table, and realize multiple synergies of carbon emission reduction and pollutant emission reduction in air, water, soil and other fields, as well as food safety improvement.

It covers 30 excellent cases in energy, industry (air, water, solid waste), transportation, urban and rural construction, agriculture and other fields, showing Shanghai's remarkable achievements in exploring synergies in pollution reduction and carbon reduction in multiple dimensions.
At the same time, it was introduced at the event that Shanghai Pudong New Area, as one of the first batch of climate investment and financing pilot areas in China, has actively carried out the exploration and practice of green finance and climate investment and financing pilots, and used green financial tools to help the development of green and low-carbon new quality productivity and promote regional green transformation and development.
