On July 14, the world's largest single turbine capacity of 500MW impact turbine runner center body forging was successfully developed by the secondary equipment of SINOMACH Heavy Equipment and successfully rolled off the production line.
This marks that the duo equipment has mastered the key technology of the whole process of manufacturing 500MW impact runner center body forgings, and also means that China has achieved a major breakthrough in the field of extra-large martensitic stainless steel forgings for hydropower, such as molten steel purification smelting, shape control of thick cakes, profiling forging and heat treatment organization control.
