The 4th Global Youth Zero Carbon Future Summit, co-sponsored by the World University Alliance on Climate Change (GAUC) and UNESCO, will be held from September 12 to 14 in a combination of online and offline methods. It will be divided into two sections: Youth Dialogue and Net-Zero Challenge Workshop.
This zero-carbon challenge invites young people from around the world to form a team to analyze the characteristics and shortcomings of existing products, technologies, and services around the synergy between the four typical scenarios of clothing, food, housing, and transportation and climate change, and propose innovative carbon reduction solutions. Participate in the Zero Carbon Challenge and you will receive:
1. Award setting: Each track will have one gold, silver and bronze medal, as well as a winning prize. The winning team will receive an honorary certificate jointly awarded by GAUC and UNESCO.

Climate x Clothing: Focusing on the entire process of clothing production and consumption, including raw material selection, production processes, supply chain management and waste disposal, it proposes innovative carbon reduction solutions to promote the sustainable transformation of the clothing industry and reduce its impact on climate change.
Possible directions include the development and promotion of green materials, improvement of production processes, circular economy and changes in consumer behavior.

Climate x Food: Focus on the carbon footprint impact of food production, processing, distribution, consumption, recycling, etc., and propose innovative solutions from reducing food waste and optimizing food supply chains to improving agricultural sustainability and advocating low-carbon diets. Promote the low-carbon transformation of the global food system.
Possible directions for consideration include low-carbon agricultural practices, low-carbon food processing, green supply chain design and reducing food waste.

Climate x Housing: Explore carbon reduction paths for buildings and living environments, with key areas including architectural design, energy use, material selection and intelligent management of the living environment. By promoting the popularization and practical application of green building concepts, we will improve the sustainability of the living environment and contribute to addressing climate change.
Possible directions for consideration include green building materials, energy efficiency design, intelligent management and community low-carbon practices.

ClimatexTransportation: Transportation is an important source of global carbon emissions, so more environmentally friendly transportation methods and technologies must be explored. Participating teams can focus on transportation, transportation management, travel patterns and infrastructure construction, and propose cleaner and more efficient transportation solutions to help the green transformation of global travel methods.
Possible directions include promoting green transportation methods, developing and promoting renewable fuels, optimizing urban transportation planning and changing travel habits.
