On November 14, 2023, the Party Branch of the Climate Change Response and Regional Cooperation Office of the Department of Ecology and Environment of the Autonomous Region and the Party Branch of Nanning Liujing Power Supply Station of Guangxi Power Grid Corporation jointly launched the Party Day activity with the theme of "Focusing on Green, Low-Carbon and High-quality Development and Jointly Building a Near-zero Carbon Demonstration and Innovation Model". Through on-site research, seminars and exchanges, we will learn from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and jointly explore the work measures to build a near-zero carbon demonstration platform based on the characteristics of the power grid, help rural revitalization with green power, and serve the green and low-carbon transformation of economic and social development.

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that China's economic and social development has entered a stage of high-quality development that accelerates green and low-carbon, and it is necessary to build a clean and low-carbon energy system and accelerate the construction of a new power system. In recent years, Guangxi has deeply studied Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, implemented the major strategic deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on carbon peak and carbon neutrality, organized and carried out research related to near-zero carbon emission demonstration work, and actively explored the near-zero carbon emission demonstration construction path suitable for the region.
Guangxi Power Grid Co., Ltd. takes green innovation as the engine to open up a new way of "six greens" to build a zero-carbon power supply station, pioneers the six-dimensional "carbon reduction highland" management theme of green energy, green power grid, green trading, green transportation, green operation and green culture, and successfully builds the first batch of near-zero carbon demonstration zones and the first zero-carbon power supply station of China Southern Power Grid in Hengzhou Liujing Power Supply Station in Nanning. Since the establishment of the near-zero carbon demonstration in March 2023, Liujing Power Supply Station has achieved carbon reduction of 103.26 tons, obtained carbon neutrality certification, radiated 54.34 tons of carbon reduction in the surrounding area, and served the whole society to reduce carbon by 5585.4 tons, equivalent to more than 5,700 acres of artificial afforestation.
