From 0 to 1 to N, more than 1 million truck drivers in China will have carbon accounts
Chen Zhaohui shared the exploration of Full Truck Group in technology and carbon reduction in recent years. In 2019, Full Truck Group discovered the carbon reduction value of the digital freight platform among millions of driver users and hundreds of millions of orders, and quickly established a "double carbon" project team to explore and demonstrate the relationship between the emission factor of the unit transportation turnover of freight trucks and the actual load rate in conjunction with China Classification Society, and accurately calculated that the average transportation turnover per ton of truck drivers on the Full Truck platform can produce 0.01 kg of carbon emission reduction.
In March 2022, the "Technical Specification for the Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reductions in the Annual Intelligent Matching System for Road Freight" compiled by Full Truck Group was officially approved, which also became the first carbon emission reduction group standard in China's road freight industry, filling the gap in the carbon emission reduction accounting system of the road freight industry. In June of the same year, Full Truck Group officially released the "Full Luck Carbon Road Plan" to develop carbon inclusive methodology, jointly build a carbon inclusive platform, and benefit more drivers.
On June 5, 2023, Full Truck Group officially opened a carbon account for more than 3,000 truck drivers across the country, which is also the first carbon account in China's road freight sector. Truck drivers can view the carbon credits they have earned by transporting goods through the carbon account, and further redeem the green rights and interests set up by the platform to get more tangible benefits, which not only boosts the increase of effective transportation mileage and reduces the unit carbon emissions, but more importantly, helps drivers gradually realize the ideological transformation from "I want to save energy" to "I want to save energy".
Chen Zhaohui revealed that on December 1, the short-distance brand of the Full Bang Group will be in Guangzhou for more than 2,500 new energy vehicle city with drivers officially launched the carbon account, on the basis of the original new energy vehicle tilt policy, the province has also set up a special fund for carbon account drivers to issue green rights, by further enhancing the activity of drivers, revitalizing the city's green transport capacity pool, and driving more fuel vehicles to upgrade and replace with new energy vehicles.

Chen Zhaohui said that the opening of carbon accounts by truck drivers means that they have their own carbon assets. From enterprises to industries, Full Truck has jointly launched a "green logistics +" service system
More than 1 million truck drivers have launched carbon accounts, which also means that the green credit rating established by the Full Truck platform based on the truck model, the driver's transportation mileage, cargo tonnage, etc., has begun to take shape. Chen Zhaohui said on the spot that the Full Truck Group will promote the resonance of the industrial chain at the same frequency based on the green reputation system created by the carbon account, and cooperate with upstream and downstream enterprises and users of the industrial chain to join the ranks of carbon reduction through value co-creation.
As we all know, the road freight industry has a long industrial chain, wide coverage, many associated enterprises, and a large proportion of small and medium-sized enterprises, so there are problems such as weak awareness of carbon reduction and lack of experience. According to the data, China's total carbon emissions in 2022 will be about 12.1 billion tons, of which the transportation sector will account for about 10.4%. Wang Boyong, Director of the Smart Freight Center and Secretary-General of the Zero Emission Freight Initiative, believes that there are many participants in China's road freight transport, the maturity and economic feasibility of green and low-carbon technologies need to be improved, and the green transformation is facing challenges. He suggested that upstream shippers in the supply chain should be fully mobilized to gradually realize the low-carbon transformation of the industry by purchasing and cultivating smart, green and efficient transportation capacity with logistics and transportation service providers and logistics partners. The first is to calculate and report carbon reduction results and set carbon emission targets through green freight purchasers, and the second is to work with industry ecological partners to improve the efficiency of transportation organizations through green finance to empower the promotion of carbon reduction technologies and green behavior incentives, and to adopt and promote low-carbon energy vehicles and low-carbon solutions to reduce carbon emissions in the supply chain. This requires companies to adopt a common standard for calculating and reporting logistics carbon emissions, and work together to establish a zero-emission partnership to jointly promote the transition to zero-emission and efficient freight.
