CITIC Environmental Technology Chaonan Project was awarded "Environmental Education Science Base" and "Green Reporter Research Base"

Recently, CITIC Environmental Technology Chaonan Textile Printing and Dyeing Circular Economy Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as Chaonan Project) was rated as "Environmental Education Science Base" and "Green Reporter Research Base" by the China Environmental Culture and Education Expert Committee under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Environmental Education Magazine, and was officially awarded.

Focusing on the core concept of "circular economy", CITIC Environmental Technology has explored a "six-in-one" service model integrating textile printing and dyeing, centralized water supply, sewage treatment, reclaimed water reuse, cogeneration, solid waste treatment and recycling, with a construction scale of 155,000 tons/day and a reclaimed water production capacity of 80,000 tons. Through the centralized management of equipment, the steam saving rate of enterprises in the park has reached 30.77%, the electricity saving rate has reached 50%, and the annual carbon emission of the park has been reduced by nearly 450,000 tons, promoting the integration and symbiosis of ecological environment governance and local economic development.

With advanced technology application and management mode, the Chaonan project has won a series of heavyweight honors such as the "Belt and Road" Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction Synergy Typical Case of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment "National Environmental Pollution Third-party Treatment Pilot Park", the China Textile Printing and Dyeing Circular Economy Industrial Park Demonstration Base, the Guangdong Province Recycling Transformation Pilot Park, and the first batch of characteristic industrial parks in Guangdong Province.

While promoting the green development of the industry, the Chaonan project actively promotes the idea of sewage treatment and ecological civilization to the public, improves the public's awareness of water conservation and ecological civilization, boosts the construction of ecological civilization, and drives more people to become supervisors of environmental pollution, practitioners of green life, and promoters of ecological civilization.

On the 2022 June Five-Year Environment Day, "Great Technology - CITIC Science and Technology Innovation Journey" led community residents to witness the sewage cleansing, water purification and fish farming, one-stop precision pollution control, and explore the magical power of scientific and technological innovation in the field of environmental governance. The event was simultaneously launched on today's CITIC Video Account, Xinhuanet, Sina Finance and other platforms, with nearly 2 million views, attracting many netizens to like and interact, and the response was enthusiastic.

In June 2021, the Chaonan Project, together with the Chaonan District Education Bureau, launched the "Lianjiang in My Heart" painting collection activity for primary and secondary school students in Chaonan District, conveying the concept of environmental protection, further creating an atmosphere of ecological and environmental protection in the Lianjiang Basin, and promoting the construction of the cultural position of the printing and dyeing environmental protection park.

Up to now, the Chaonan project has provided free environmental science education to more than 12,000 members of the public.
