This is the fruitful "green fruit" achieved by more than 10,000 Xingda employees in the "green spring" of high-quality development.

Xingda is the world's largest manufacturer of steel wire frame materials for radial tires, with production bases in Jiangsu, Shandong, Thailand and other places. It has successively registered the "Xingda" trademark in 118 countries or regions, providing products and technical services for more than 300 customers in more than 40 countries and regions around the world. It is a key high-tech enterprise of the National Torch Program, an internationally renowned brand that focuses on cultivation and development, the seventh batch of national manufacturing individual champions, and a green factory in Jiangsu Province.

Clean: Build a green industrial chain

In the past five years, Xingda Company has invested a total of 5 billion yuan, through the implementation of capacity expansion projects, the promotion of the process of intelligent transformation and digital transformation, the transformation of energy conservation and carbon reduction achievements, and the application and promotion of new technologies and new processes, focusing on "strengthening the chain, supplementing the chain, and extending the chain", opening a new green chapter of Xingda's sustainable and high-quality development.

In a high reservoir, sewage from each workshop is collected through pipelines, and through more than 10 processes, the turbid water becomes clear water, and then transported to each workshop for recycling. Xingda company to build a green industrial chain, starting from doing a good job of "water articles". The self-built sewage treatment station covers an area of about 22,000 square meters, realizing reclaimed water reuse, and the discharge indicators of various pollutants have reached the international advanced level. The recycling of industrial water cooling is as high as 97%, and the treatment system has obtained the national authorized patent to realize the recycling and reuse of pure water. In 2023, compared with 2022, the company's water consumption per unit of product will decrease by 7.16%.

At the same time, the total hydrogen chloride emissions in 2023 will be reduced by 47.14% compared with 2022, the average concentration will be reduced from 3.5mg/m³ to 1.85mg/m³, and the emissions per unit product will be reduced by 83.4% compared with 2020. The exhaust gas discharge port is included in the big data platform management to achieve 24-hour real-time monitoring.

In 2023, the company organized and implemented the transformation of 560 high-efficiency and energy-saving motors, 58 sets of permanent magnet drive energy-saving transformation of coarse, medium and continuous straight-drawn wire drawing units, and 11 sets of energy-saving transformation of waste heat recovery and utilization of heat treatment and electroplating open flame furnaces. A new 10MW rooftop distributed photovoltaic power station was newly put into use. A total of 11 energy conservation and carbon reduction analysis meetings were organized, and 2 special carbon emission management trainings were held. Compared with the previous year, the company's energy consumption per unit of product decreased by 5.1%, carbon emissions decreased by 4.5%, and the cost of energy saving decreased by 20.96 million yuan.

Intelligent "green factory" sings "big show"

An unmanned "forklift" drives in the spacious workshop to "carry" the semi-finished products of the previous process loaded in the "pallet" to the next process; a "crane" driving on the workshop track, the huge "arm" unloads the I-wheels around the glittering "monofilament" one by one, sends them to the designated place according to the procedure, and then loads the empty I-wheels onto the water tank take-up machine...... In the workshop of the new factory of Jiangsu Xingda Company, which has a total investment of 3.6 billion yuan and an investment of 1.6 billion yuan in the first phase of the project, people see that this factory has fully realized automated production and intelligent management. The company has built 5 such smart factories. The company's leaders believe that the high-quality development of Xingda Company must be the "steering wheel" of quasi-intelligence and automation, because this is the "locomotive" of building a green industrial chain.

In 2023, while the company is carrying out intelligent transformation of the first phase of Shandong Xingda project, the second phase of the intelligent workshop with an investment of 3 billion yuan has been put into operation. After the completion of the project, the Shandong base can achieve an annual output of 280,000 tons of steel cord and 100,000 tons of bead wire, and achieve sales revenue of more than 3 billion yuan, becoming the largest steel cord manufacturing enterprise in Shandong Province and an important production base of radial tire skeleton materials.

With a total investment of 2 billion yuan, the intelligent expansion project of Xingda Thailand factory is in full swing. After the completion of the project, it can achieve an annual output of 250,000 tons of steel cord and 100,000 tons of bead wire, becoming a production base for high-end positioning products exported to Europe and the United States, and a model factory in Thailand Park.

The international "green brand" has a significant effect

At present, Xingda's steel wire products production capacity has achieved the world's first, with customers in more than 40 countries and regions around the world. Among the top 75 companies in the global tire industry, the vast majority of enterprises have established cooperative relations with Xingda. Among them, the world's top 10 tire manufacturing giants have cooperated with Xingda.

Xingda is not only the only drafting unit of the national standard GB/T11181-2003 "Steel cord for radial tires", but also led the drafting of the ISO23717:2022 international standard "Steel Wire and Its Products - Steel Wire for Rubber Hose Reinforcement". Its self-developed production technology development of high-performance new structural steel cord for radial tires won the second prize of the 2004 National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the "Preparation Method of Ultra-high-strength Steel Wire with Torsional Delamination Resistance and Excellent Fatigue Performance" won the 2022 China Patent Excellence Award.

The steel wire products produced by Xingda also include bead steel wire, hose steel wire, galvanized steel wire, which are mainly used in automobiles, construction machinery, oil exploitation, elevators and other fields. In recent years, the development momentum of Xingda's hose steel wire business has been strong, with an average growth rate of 30% in the past 10 years, and the global market share is now as high as 25%. CITIC Pacific Qingdao Special Steel has in-depth cooperation with Xingda to open up three Xingda production lines, aiming to create the world's most suitable raw materials for steel cord production. Xingda is committed to cooperating with steel enterprises to promote the application of recycled steel in the production of steel cord.

Xingda actively implements global marketing strategies, promotes the internationalization of products and services, and sets up branches and technical service centers in Europe, the United States, India, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and other places, and establishes logistics and warehousing systems in the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Europe and other places. Xingda realizes the flexibility of product supply with the intelligence of the manufacturing process, and can quickly make adjustments according to market demand, so that the total production capacity of its steel wire products can be increased by more than 30% in a short period of time, providing a strong guarantee for responding to customer needs more efficiently and agilely and better serving the global market.
