Carbon Neutrality Action Alliance Corporate Walk - Enter the Interface factory

On the afternoon of October 13, 2023, the second leg of the Carbon Neutrality Action Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") Enterprise Walk - Entering the Interface factory was successfully held in Taicang. Co-organised by the Alliance Secretariat and Interface (LINKFI), the event focused on sustainable development and featured representatives from nearly 20 Alliance member companies from different industries.

Through in-depth visits to factory floors, warehouses and office areas, representatives of the alliance learned that Interfly products have carried out carbon footprint analysis at every link in the life cycle, and through changes in product design and composition, continuous improvement of production processes, etc., the greenhouse gas emissions per square meter of carpet produced have been reduced by 96% compared with 1996, and all products are carbon neutral throughout the life cycle.

In addition, representatives of the alliance also watched a documentary on sustainable development, listened to Lee Ka Yin, Sales Director of Interface North Asia Greater China, share the practical measures to implement sustainable development goals during the transition period, and recorded the experience of this event in written form, which further enhanced the understanding of the concept of sustainable development.

The enterprise trip is organized by the Alliance Secretariat, through on-site visits to Alliance member units, on-site visits to excellent cases of implementing the dual carbon goal and benchmark projects for green and low-carbon transformation, learning the mature carbon reduction experience, technology, management methods and implementation paths of benchmark enterprises, promoting full exchanges and mutual learning among Alliance members in low-carbon practice work, and helping enterprises achieve emission reduction goals more scientifically and efficiently.

In the future, the Carbon Neutrality Action Alliance will continue to hold a series of activities for enterprises in different fields, rely on the national carbon emission trading market, actively promote carbon neutrality standards and specifications, integrate industrial resources in low-carbon industries, drive more members of the Alliance to jointly create a broader carbon reduction life circle, promote the whole society to participate in energy conservation and emission reduction, and contribute to the early realization of the national dual carbon goal!
