The pilot construction of the "5G + Industrial Internet" integrated application pilot area will be promoted
The reporter learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "5G + Industrial Internet" Convergence Application Pilot Area Pilot Work Rules (Provisional) (hereinafter referred to as the "Work Rules") and the "5G + Industrial Internet" Convergence Application Pilot Zone Pilot Construction Guide (hereinafter referred to as the "Construction Guide") to promote the large-scale development of "5G + Industrial Internet" and create an industrial cluster with national and regional leading effects.
According to reports, the "Work Rules" include seven chapters and 20 articles, aiming to strengthen the pilot management of the "5G + Industrial Internet" integrated application pilot area and give full play to the leading effect of the pilot area. The "Construction Guide" proposes to encourage all localities to carry out the pilot construction of "5G + Industrial Internet" integrated application pilot areas in cities (cities at the prefecture level and above), and fully release the superimposed multiplier effect of "5G + Industrial Internet" by increasing policy support, consolidating infrastructure construction, promoting integrated application innovation, cultivating and expanding industrial ecology, and strengthening public service capabilities.
Among them, in terms of development policy guidance, the "Construction Guide" proposes to formulate special policies, based on regional development and the actual needs of the industry, formulate pilot plans for pilot areas, clarify planning objectives, and issue supporting policy documents; promote the construction of 5G private networks, equipment transformation, application innovation, etc., and explore and improve the characteristic policy system to support the development of pilot areas. Promote industry-finance cooperation, guide financial institutions to increase investment in "5G + Industrial Internet", expand credit supply, form high-quality financial products and services, and reasonably reduce the financing cost of enterprises.
In terms of infrastructure piloting, the "Construction Guide" proposes to strengthen the deployment of 5G industrial private networks, accelerate the construction of 5G base stations, and promote the in-depth coverage of 5G networks in industrial enterprises and parks. Support basic telecommunications enterprises and industrial enterprises to jointly carry out the construction of 5G virtual private networks and hybrid private networks, and explore the construction of 5G independent private networks to meet the needs of different application scenarios at production sites and the security guarantee needs of "5G + industrial Internet" integrated applications.
In terms of industry application pilots, the "Construction Guide" proposes to cultivate innovative application scenarios, give full play to the basic and aggregate characteristics of 5G, integrate digital twins, virtual/augmented reality, artificial intelligence and other technologies, and promote the 20 typical application scenarios of "5G + Industrial Internet" in R&D and design, production and operation, testing and monitoring, warehousing and logistics, operation management and other links around key industries. Carry out the construction of 5G factories, carry out the construction of 5G factories at the production line, workshop level, and factory level, and promote the large-scale deployment of 5G in production auxiliary links and the in-depth expansion of core links.
According to the data, as of the end of October, the total number of 5G base stations in China reached 3.215 million, and the number of "5G + Industrial Internet" projects in the country exceeded 8,000, achieving full coverage of 41 national economic categories in the industrial field, and the scale of the industrial Internet industry exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan.
