Service upgrade Suzhou Industrial Park Carbon Neutrality and Inclusive Service System Released
Recently, the Carbon Neutralization and Inclusive Service System of Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province was released. The system comprehensively upgrades the market mechanism, service model, business ecology, and operation system, and opens up the entire chain of carbon verification, carbon emission reduction, carbon trading and carbon neutrality certification, providing full-process, high-efficiency carbon neutrality services, and exporting the "Suzhou Model" of carbon inclusiveness.
As the country's first open innovation comprehensive experimental zone and the country's first batch of carbon peak pilot parks, Suzhou Industrial Park has always adhered to green and low-carbon development, promoted energy and low-carbon transformation, and built a number of pilot demonstration projects. It is understood that the carbon emission intensity of Suzhou Industrial Park is about 1/3 of the national average, clean energy accounts for more than 90%, and distributed photovoltaics are 334 MW. The country's first one-to-many distributed power generation market-oriented project has been built. There are more than 100 green manufacturing system companies at all levels.
In November 2022, Suzhou Industrial Park launched the country's first market-oriented carbon inclusive trading system. Currently, it has released four emission reduction project methodologies: distributed photovoltaics, dedicated charging piles, lighting energy conservation, and wetland carbon sinks, and issued emission reductions. The amount is 86,000 tons, and the cumulative transaction volume is 13,000 tons. It has served a number of carbon neutrality demonstration projects and achieved expected results.
The carbon neutrality and inclusive service system released this time is a comprehensive upgrade. It is jointly constructed by State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company in conjunction with Carbon Road Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Chinese consortium, Singapore MVGX Group, and Suzhou Industrial Park Resource Conservation and Energy Management Association to provide market participants with one-stop services for the entire process of "carbon verification, carbon emission reduction, carbon trading, and carbon neutrality certification".
At the release site, the one-stop Carbon Neutralization and Inclusive Service Center was also officially opened. This year, we strive to add three new carbon emission reduction project methodologies, and the carbon emission reduction transaction volume will reach 100,000 tons. The center has also signed carbon Neutralization and Inclusive Service Cooperation Agreement with many companies.
It is reported that the service center is based on the Suzhou Energy Big Data Center to build a full-process digital service platform and release mobile Mini programs. It also relies on the advantages of efficient power-carbon conversion and authenticity and authority of data to effectively reduce the certification cost of power-related projects and provide users with high efficiency, cost-effective, high-quality one-stop carbon neutrality service.
After its launch, the one-stop Carbon Neutrality and Inclusive Service Center will rely on the four parties 'respective advantages in terms of policies, funds, talents, technology, etc. to jointly build a carbon neutrality service entity operating model and create a one-stop service and technological innovation support base. At the same time, the service center will strengthen cooperation with authoritative institutions such as the Beijing Green Exchange and the Shanghai Environmental Exchange, carry out special research, introduce international expert teams such as the World Wide Fund for Nature and the World Resources Institute, and rely on the China-Singapore green cooperation mechanism to accelerate cooperation with Singapore low-carbon institutions carry out joint construction and mutual recognition cooperation on carbon inclusion, and continuously deepen system construction.
According to reports, focusing on the three key areas of organizational carbon neutrality, activity carbon neutrality, and product carbon neutrality, the service center will also integrate commercial ecological resources, launch market-oriented carbon neutrality service packages that adapt to multiple scenarios, and expand carbon emission reduction Methodology covers scenarios, meets the carbon neutrality needs of enterprises, social groups, etc., and implements one-stop carbon neutrality cases for leading enterprises and industrial chain owners.
