China actively and steadily promotes the "dual carbon" work, and fully integrates the "dual carbon" goal requirements into economic and social development. At present, the installed capacity of non-fossil energy power generation accounts for more than 50% of the total installed capacity, which historically exceeds fossil energy; Since the new era, the average annual growth rate of energy consumption of 3% has supported the average annual economic growth of 6.2%, and China has become one of the countries with the fastest reduction in energy intensity in the world. China's "dual carbon" work has achieved positive results, and green development has handed over a brilliant report card.

In the face of ecological and environmental challenges, mankind is a community of common destiny with both prosperity and loss. From announcing strong support for green and low-carbon energy development in developing countries and no new overseas coal power projects, to promoting the conclusion of a package of agreements such as the "Glasgow Climate Agreement", China is an important participant, contributor and leader in the construction of global ecological civilization, and has made great contributions to the sustainable development of the world. From 2016 to 2022, the cumulative number of global green and low-carbon technology invention patents authorized reached 558,000, of which 178,000 were authorized by Chinese patentees, accounting for 31.9%, with an average annual growth rate of 12.5%, significantly higher than the global overall level of 2.5%, indicating that China will continue to lead the world's green and low-carbon transformation.
In Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, Yang Zhenqiang, a building energy conservation and emission reduction consultant, proposed an energy-saving and emission-reduction renovation project for a nearly 7,000-square-meter office building, which is expected to reduce nearly 600 tons of carbon dioxide per year. In the newly revised National Occupational Classification Dictionary in 2022, a total of 134 green occupations such as building energy conservation and emission reduction consultants were identified. By synergizing to promote carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion and growth, and promote ecological priority, conservation and intensification, green and low-carbon development, we will be able to continue to draw a beautiful picture of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, better cope with the challenges of global climate change, continuously fulfill the "dual carbon" commitment in green development, and make a good ecological environment an inexhaustible source of sustainable development.
