Haining Economic Development Zone, where Guangyao Thermal Power is located, is dominated by printing and dyeing, textile, biopharmaceutical, hosiery and other industries, all of which have a large amount of heat demand. Previously, the heat of enterprises in the jurisdiction was mainly supplied by coal-fired boilers, and in the context of promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, decentralized coal-fired boilers were gradually eliminated, and the construction of natural gas distributed energy station projects was put on the agenda.

In June 2020, Guangyao Thermal Power started the construction of the natural gas distributed energy station project, replacing the traditional coal-fired boiler with an environmentally friendly and energy-saving gas-fired boiler, and the natural gas boilers of the two energy stations were put into operation in September 2021 and January of the following year. Since then, the company has embarked on the road of "carbon reduction", and continues to work boiler gas consumption, electricity consumption and pipe network loss, and uses refined management to find a breakthrough in energy conservation and consumption reduction.

It is understood that since it has been put into use, the environmental protection facilities of the company's energy station have been implemented in accordance with the national ultra-low emission standards. Compared with the original two coal-fired thermal power plants, the project saves about 44,000 tons of standard coal and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by about 120,000 tons per year, and it is worth mentioning that the company's nitrogen oxide emission target remains below 30 milligrams per cubic meter, far lower than the national emission limit of 150 milligrams per cubic meter. At present, green manufacturing has become the direction of transformation of the textile industry. The commissioning of the natural gas distributed energy station project is a great benefit to the textile products produced by enterprises in the economic development zone.

"At present, our total steam supply is about 600,000 tons/year, and the steam consumption of textile enterprises in the jurisdiction accounts for more than half.
